I think this is a myth.
Manchester City is recognised as a powerful club - the best in the PL and one of the best in Europe. We have the structure, finances, facilities, coaching and reputation to appeal to the very best, regardless of participation in the CL for one year out of the last however many.

Agree. Man City is widely known around the world as one of the best and biggest clubs around and have been the top dogs of PL in the last decade. Nobody would question other top clubs like Bayern/Real Madrid/Barcelonas ability to attract top talent even if they would miss out on CL one year, since everyone thats not completely deluded knows they will be back asap. CL football makes more of a difference to clubs like Spurs or Villa, not to the absolute elite clubs of Europe and the world. Missing out on CL football would have very little impact on our ability to attract the players we want.

i had thought we needed to win both so thats'smy bad.
i think 69 is the minimum though so 4 points needed
if chelsea and forest draw then 67 would do it on goal difference.

I was sat in a relative’s garden close to the airport on Sunday and I was on the plane app. At 3pm a private jet flew over and it was going to Barca. I am pretty sure it was the same plane that Gundogan used last summer. I just automatically thought wonder if Pep is on that as I assume they had given the players a few days off. When the reports of Wirtzs parents were meeting Pep yesterday I noted that Jack mentioned Pep was out of the region and did not meet them.
