Florian Wirtz

I can’t stand it. Why spend over £100m on Wirtz when they already have Musiala and are extending his contract? It’s just so greedy. And why do these German kids always want to go to Bayern?

Greedy?

At one point we had prime Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Ílkay Gündoğan, Bernardo Silva and a young Phil Foden for our attacking midfield options.

If you want to continually win big things, you have to have high quality strength in depth in the creative department.

It’s clear they’re really interested in him, but I can’t quite understand how they’d justify putting well over £100m on the table for a single player. Bayern just don’t come across as the kind of club willing to spend that kind of money, especially considering their more calculated approach in the transfer market. Honestly, I think we’ll come out on top in any bidding war, as they’re unlikely to push themselves into such a massive financial commitment.

WTF

They are one of the biggest clubs in the world, who in the last few seasons have let standards drop , they want to be back at the top of the table and having a team to compete and win the CL.

Wirtz is a generational talent, all the elite clubs will be looking to sign him and that will cost a lot of money.

I’m not doubting their interest, but Bayern just doesn’t strike me as a club that has the financial muscle to pull off a deal of that magnitude—we’re talking about £100m here. Bayern just doesn’t seem like the kind of club that could realistically afford that.

They can easily afford that they just often don’t and didn’t due to Hoeneß and rummenigge not wanting to pay above 50M. Since Kahn and salihamidzic times changed. They will definitely pay that if that means that they have the future top 2 players of the German national team for the next 5-10 years

How can you describe a 21 year old as a generational talent? He’s a good up and coming player. Young enough to become generational in the future but also young enough to stagnate.

Problem is Leverkusen hate Bayern. So they will have to pay a big price plus a premium. If the price for us is 120 mil the price for Bayern will be 160 mil to 180, they will push Wirtz away from the Bayern offer to any other club

He's the best MF I've seen since KDB.
Higher ceiling than Bellingham or Foden IMO.

Bayern does have the money but like us do have limits. If they really want him then they would stretch their budget accordingly.
