Florian Wirtz

Whilst I think he would be a great signing for us, I can't help think that the draw of Bayern to a German international will be too strong for Wirtz. Bayern tend to get their way when it comes to domestic signings and the prospect of being the supply line for Kane, together with Musiala, looks mouth watering
 
I am quite sanguine about this, it would be great if he signs but competing for German players with Bayern is very difficult. Plus they will try to tap him up even if we do sign him. If he goes there no doubt we will have other options.

No one, not Wirtz or anyone rise, can directly replace KDB so whoever we get is going to change our setup.
 
I've been a bit back and forth with this. My thoughts initially were that he'd end up at Bayern but then I changed to thinking he'd like to take over Kev's mantel and have that sense of importance (as opposed to him vs Musiala at Bayern) but I don't know.

I think there's more things pointing to Bayern than there are here. Unfortunately.

Wirtz or no Wirtz we have a big KDB shaped hole from next season. apart from him we have nobody regularly setting up players. Foden never really got the hang of it sadly despite he had David Silva and KDB to learn from, he became more of a goalscorer on his good days than rack up assists.

Exactly this. I posted very similar - but nowhere near as eloquently the other week. Like who on earth is going to be the creative force now that Kev has been shown the door. Morgan Gibbs White - its not him.

I seriously am worried.
 
I am a female cis or whatever and an foc to boot.

I'm not an emotional type,and usually go by my gut instinct and in all my very advanced years has probably only let me down about 3 times ( and luckily nowt major went wrong).

But I just don't get the 'feels' with either MGW or Florian Wirtz.

Maybe I am suffering after all, cos neither of them are destined to bring me as much joy as Kev has done this last decade.

I miss Merlin, my Vincent, Kun and Gundo ( when he left) but this departure of KDB really is beginning to hit hard.

I feel very despondent about this one.
