Florian Wirtz

Thanks for your illuminating comment... You've basically posted "I've not bothered to listen to/view what you've posted, nonetheless I've an opinion."
You're upset because someone won't listen to your link which after all is just an opinion?

If it's inevitable that Wirtz ends up at Bayern then why would his camp or Leverkusen play games to up the price? Do you think Bayern are stupid and haven't spoken to his camp already?

JSGC (youtube poster - seems pretty credible, but who knows?) now thinks that Wirtz to Manchester City is a ploy by camp Wirtz or camp Levercuzen to extract as much as they can from Bayern when he almost inevitably transfers there.

JSGC's viewpoint makes sense to me. What do you think?

Don't think anyone other than Wirtz and his family have any idea what's happening or going to happen. Lots of people guessing based on whatever their personal opinions are, then filling twitter and you tube with their guesses. These guesses get more and more complicated and conspiracy driven than they probably really are.
My total guess is It's Bayern or us, Leverkeusen would prefer us, Wirtz would lean towards Bayern but is conflicted as Bayern probably won't pay what we would.

This is exactly what I think is gong to happen...

The pressure on Wirtz from bayern execs, ex players, current players will be huge...probably too much....

As I said before the Wirtz camp will have listened to our offer of course but we are a back up if Bayern dont stump up the cash with Leverkusen - thats the only way this transfer happens imho - if Bayern fuck it up by trying to penny pinch.

They travelled to visit us as thats the professional thing to do...they have to check it out first hand, and of course he would be interested - but I think we are a second option/plan B for Wirtz and his camp incase Bayern get this wrong.

lets hope Bayern are too arrogant for their own good
It turns out that Pep wasn't present when camp Wirtz visited Manchester City.

Who knows for sure what this means - except that Pep - if 100% behind the Wirtz transfer - not present during the visit... obviously means that Pep has more important things on his mind or Pep has previously committed to being elsewhere and as much as he wants to be present, he cannot.

Either way - Pep's absence during Writz's visit - raises the prospect that the visit was all for show - a tactic to extract more from Bayern.

Pep's stance has always been - do you want, above all, to join Manchester City, and to be a member of my squad? If so, Pep will drive the transfer. If not... the transfer likely dies.

Huh?

Reread your post, my friend. It makes zero sense.

Credible in what sense? That he has any inside knowledge?

It's clear we have been interested in Wirtz for a while and it's up to Wirtz where he wants to go, so I'm not sure it makes a difference whether it's a ploy or not as our interest will ensure a higher price regardless. We never allow ourselves to be used.

As in not credible, it's just another link that the idiots think actually means anything. Opinions and assholes, they always seem to go together.

JSGC is a random youtube blogger - he reads posts and reaches conclusions. He has no inside knowledge that I'm aware of.

Given that JSGC has no inside contacts within Man City (that I'm aware of) - why would I deem him as credible?

It's because he seems to read most everything that's posted about transfers and decides, based on his own experience and on his personal rating of sources - what's likely to happen. He's been spot on for as long as I've watched him - which is admittedly not long.

I don't have enough time to research everything on the Internet to reach independent conclusions of my own about Man City transfers - but JSGC has made this his job. So far, I think he's doing a credible job.

+1 - totally agree. Pep's absence during our meeting with camp Wirtz is a red flag for me.

Haven't watched as I think he has an opinion like everyone else, that's it, just like most of the opinions on the previous 525 pages

I got to the bit where he said other Bayern players will speaking to him on going there when he dropped Sané as one of those names. A former player that still, apparently, still comes to visit the club. A former player that looked like he had regrets when caught speaking to Guardiola.

You think the only player at Bayern, with experience of playing with us, is going to talk shit about us? Yeah, not so sure about that.

As I read in multiple reports - the pressure on that kid must be immense. Imagine your national team coach - your national team friends - the biggest club in your country as well as your parents constantly pressuring you to make a decision - and a decision that doesn’t upset everyone.

Also your current club who helped your footballing growth and helped you during your worst time in your career with your ACLs and whom you respect too much asking you to do opposite of what your parents and best friends want.
Must be miserable for him to think who is going to be end up pissing off!

I’d imagine that his family would be significantly less annoyed if he came here than B04 if he went to Bayern. Supposedly happy with the facilities here and they wouldn’t have come if they didn’t have absolutely no interest.

Lets break this argument down a bit, so the youtubers OPINION is that this is a game being played by bayer to draw more money out of bayern, thats a cute theory but the reality is that he has two more years left on his contract so bayer dont need to sell to anybody they hold all the power where selling is concerned and the price is the price no matter how much bayern stomp their feet in the press NOW if wirtz stomped his feet and refused to play etc then that could make a difference but the idea is that he has too much respect to bayer to do that, also he could wait a year of course but a year is a LONG time in football and things can change in all kinds of ways.

Then we hear that he only wants bayern but who are we hearing that from? Bayer? The player? No, we are hearing it from bayern shills in the german press and they are hardly going to say well yes we wanted him but he wasnt convinced are they? The entitlement at bayern is exactly the same as at the rags and the dippers, they believe it is the dream of every player to play for them and will never say otherwise no matter how much evidence points otherwise.

We also have the theory that a german player has to play for bayern to be able to play for germany, the reality is that out of a squad of 23 in the nations league finals, 4 of them played for bayern, its hardly an overwhelming number.

What it boils down to is that there is 2 camps , there is the people who still believe we are little city and we are sat there begging bowl in hand against the mighty bayern and are using the nonsense coming from the complicit german press to support that theory and there is the people who recognise that city are an incredibly well run club who have won 5 out of the last 7 pl titles, have quality players and a quality manager (despite this seasons blip) and whether we win or lose against bayern have every right to sit at the same table and be spoken about in the same sentences as them.

Why are parents sticking their beak in.
Honestly bizarre that a grown man needs mummy and daddy to make trips to different countries at his age. Same with Sanè doing what his mum forced him to do and go to Bayern, leaving his Mrs fuming and by all accounts spending half her time back in Manchester

Not bizarre at all his parents are his reps.
