I didn’t really get the Wirtz interest anyway. Clearly a good player.
I’d rather have creativity throughout the team, rather than rely on one KDB type player.
The game is changing in the PL. Everyone playing the same type of way. But they are including pace and power.
I don’t think this kid has that.
MGW does but of probably less creativity. But 3 x MGW type players against 3 x Wirtz type players. In the PL there is only one winner
 
The flash the cash city depicted in the media is a far cry from what we’re really about. From squeezing fans on ticket prices to seemingly dropping out of races for elite players, with exception of Haaland who everyone wanted.

Our revenue streams could not be better after this decade of success but we seem unwilling to compete with europe’s giant clubs. This season has been coming on the pitch and more will follow. Spend huge on 1 or 2 instead of spreading it across 4 or 5 good players but not game changers.

Simons, Akliouche, Trincao - dont mind any of that 3 now tbh. (Along with Reijnders)
 
Top 4 fight again next year if we sign Morgan Gibbs white or Dani Olmo. Dippers will improve , Arsenal will we will be fighting Chelsea. Olmo can’t stay fit and Gibbs white is having a purple patch and is not an elite player compared what we have had in midfield.

Can only hope that Doku/ Savinho reach another level next season. If we don’t get a pure 10 then they will have to score and assist much more. Especially when going the PSG route with 3 CM‘s. Pep would need to give them more freedom and also attacking fullbacks otherwise we are fucked
 
It’s not even too much of a surprise, German players are really tribal in the same way English ones are. Very few move to other leagues.
