It's 99% done, just formalities now. According to reports, he is desperate for the move, not sure what kind of witchcraft could have made a German international reject Bayern and also reject a chance to work with pep and go to Liverpool and work with slot instead. Funny times.

As much as I wanted him as a replacement for KDB perhaps it is too much money despite his potential level. Bayern had no chance this summer so Liverpool seemed the only viable option.

Would be?? It's done mate, he is a goner. The one position they didn't need strengthening, and they invested so much money for that, and we are desperate for the position and specifically THAT player and we were careless. I always thought were his number 1 choice and bayern Munich 2nd, but, we were 3rd behind liverpool and bayern, and liverpool only took a week to convince him. ONE WEEK!!!! And out of all clubs, ITS LIVERPOOL!!!!!!
 
The only issue for Liverpool it is not a player they really need. A new CF should be their first priority
 
I can’t believe he would choose the dippers. As far as I am concerned they won this title because of a massive dip in our standards combined with new manager bounce for them. I see no improvement on Klopp’s team which was faltering. He is choosing Slot over Pep Guardiola? They are going to pay £120 million for him (more than 50% above their current transfer record) plus Salah level wages whilst still paying the Egyptian?

We have just released KDB so there is a place for him and Munich is a massive draw for any German. Choosing Liverpool makes no sense in my mind and is a massive blow to City and Bayern.

It’s all talk at the moment. Nobody knows anything.

I thought all the talk about him only wanting Bayern was fed to the press to help his negotiations with City.

Now he only wants Liverpool.

City are the only ones to have agreed a fee by the way.

Come out of your cocoon mate, it's done, live with it. City have pulled out, he wants liverpool, bayer wants him to go to liverpool, his family wants liverpool, there is no force in this world that will stop that from happening now, not even real madrid. It'll be tough for City, but let's see what's going to happen.

Whilst it certainly looks that way, my question is why? Why is he choosing Slot and Liverpool over Pep and City or Bayern? Their title win was not expected at the start of the season and I don’t buy that style of play rubbish. It makes no sense.

My theory is, there will be less pressure at liverpool. At man city, who had a unique trophyless season, there will be a big demand for next season to win it all. Also, the biggest pressure is that he would have came as a direct replacement for one of the greatest modern midfielder that has ever lived in kdb. Along the wonderkid tag and 150 million price range, the pressure would have been too much.
At liverpool, he is joining a team that already flourishing without an attacking midfielder, so nothing will be placed on his shoulder and they might be still winning without him performing. The perfect environment for him to do well and one day lead that young group of midfielders that liverpool have.

He might not like Peps football or us as a club.

End of the day we are not Real Madrid. Some players will want us and some won't. Part and parcel of the game.

I am just glad he hasn't dragged us out all summer and rejected us early doors so we can move on.

I don't like Liverpool, but it's not like they are a mug team. They are still one of the biggest clubs in Europe and when they are near the top I can imagine a lot of footballers wanting to play for them.

What are you on mate, you want to still think we have a chance in this you go on yeah, I'd think we move on try to replace kdb, get another box to box midfielder, along side reijnders to play with Rodri. and if we can get kerkez, a gk to replace ederson and a rb, we can make use of marmoush kinda playing behind erling.
