Florian Wirtz

What are you on mate, you want to still think we have a chance in this you go on yeah, I'd think we move on try to replace kdb, get another box to box midfielder, along side reijnders to play with Rodri. and if we can get kerkez, a gk to replace ederson and a rb, we can make use of marmoush kinda playing behind erling.

I'm on you mum at the moment, eff off back to dipperville

You really wouldn't have said that to my face, you go on there mate, either have a constructive conversation or go to bed, the nerve of you talking about me mom.

Whilst it certainly looks that way, my question is why? Why is he choosing Slot and Liverpool over Pep and City or Bayern? Their title win was not expected at the start of the season and I don’t buy that style of play rubbish. It makes no sense.
People don't make sense

He chose them, why well onlynge knows

Those that lost our will say money, dodgy dealing etc etc etc to cope with it (all pur signings are accused of the saame by others)

ultimately he came over and spoke to both parties after the feeling was it was gping one way, we pulled out, Bayern had shot their bolt weeks before being snide amd leaking lies he was never going there after that.

We missed out shit happens but there is no strange reason or mystery, he didn't fancy us isn't the first and won't be the last

Don't even know why this thread is still going as tbh who gives a shite anymore anyway

Read the full thing I said. We've had a history of sitting on our laurels when we've won titles since 2012. Under Pep, we seemed to have moved away from it until the last few windows when we've brought in average players who don't threaten the first team and this season we've seen the impact of that and now need a huge summer.

Every single player we bought last 2 summers got thousands of minutes this year. We have one of the best transfer records in the world in terms of success/failure.

My original opinion stands.

I can’t believe he would choose the dippers. As far as I am concerned they won this title because of a massive dip in our standards combined with new manager bounce for them. I see no improvement on Klopp’s team which was faltering. He is choosing Slot over Pep Guardiola? They are going to pay £120 million for him (more than 50% above their current transfer record) plus Salah level wages whilst still paying the Egyptian?

We have just released KDB so there is a place for him and Munich is a massive draw for any German. Choosing Liverpool makes no sense in my mind and is a massive blow to City and Bayern.
It's quite arrogant to suggest Liverpool only won because we didn't. They have had a great season and their points total would probably have been higher with a genuine challenger, arsenal have never kept them honest. Wirtz probably fancies lining Salah up for a few chances here and there.

My theory is, there will be less pressure at liverpool. At man city, who had a unique trophyless season, there will be a big demand for next season to win it all. Also, the biggest pressure is that he would have came as a direct replacement for one of the greatest modern midfielder that has ever lived in kdb. Along the wonderkid tag and 150 million price range, the pressure would have been too much.
At liverpool, he is joining a team that already flourishing without an attacking midfielder, so nothing will be placed on his shoulder and they might be still winning without him performing. The perfect environment for him to do well and one day lead that young group of midfielders that liverpool have.

So you are saying this lad is a bottler and taking the easy route with more money to join the dippers. A dippers team that only wins the pl when there are no challengers.
So a player that is a bottler joining a team that bottles it under pressure does make sence.
Clearly not the sort of player serial winners need

Let’s not kid ourselves that Liverpool aren’t a very very attractive club for players. Currently they seem very stable, pay well, managerially steady and win trophies. They benefit from the media building an aura around them. Currently we aren’t quite in that place. 115 linger on, Pep has 2 more years but what then? The squad is clearly in transition and we aren’t quite what we were. I have no doubt, if, Liverpool were not in for him he would have come here. But they won this one. In 12 months if Viana can get us back to acting effectively in the transfer market, 115 is resolved favorably and say Salah and VVD diminish then we would probably win out if there is a player we both want. It’s life!

Are you a dipper? Liverpool team already flourishing, still be winning, perfect environment. None of that is true, Liverpool had a lucky break this season competing against a city team with the worst drop in form since Keegan left, no one had them winning this league. If Wirtz believes that he’s an idiot and if it doesn’t want the pressure of replacing KDB he will not make it to the top level.

He might not like Peps football or us as a club.

End of the day we are not Real Madrid. Some players will want us and some won't. Part and parcel of the game.

I am just glad he hasn't dragged us out all summer and rejected us early doors so we can move on.

I don't like Liverpool, but it's not like they are a mug team. They are still one of the biggest clubs in Europe and when they are near the top I can imagine a lot of footballers wanting to play for them.
Yes, we are not Real Madrid, I understand Bellingham choosing them over us, all that rumour about him going to Liverpool was to keep their fan base happy. A lot of players would want to play for the Liverpool but not before Real, Bayern (especially if they are German) and Pep at City. This is a major surprise in this transfer saga. Liverpool get good players not wanted by those clubs and or not as expensive as they can spend.

Do you honestly think if we had maintained our levels of last season (which were not as high as the season before but still high) Liverpool would have won the league? I am being a bit arrogant but there was little recruitment on their behalf with a team no way near the title the season before, they brought a new manager in who was not pursued by any other big club.
