The news came from Germany that he was demanding the number 10 which macallister is already using. I think they were just trying to stir things up as the media in Germany is quite bitter that a German player would snub Bayern munich, and that too liverpool out of all clubs. They don't rate liverpool at all and see this whole saga as quite shameful.

To be fair, this whole saga is so weird, liverpool who couldn't pull caicedo and lavia from a dead club like chelsea suddenly pulls the best available player in the market is so strange.
 
He wanted to sign for them, understandable for a few reason probably to himself, it isn't a big deal and it doesn't take away what a good player he is.

Happy with what we are doing so this really doesn't bother me and sets up a good title battle next year, which is what we want tbf not a boring proccession where the seasons done by easter.

The seasons where we have took it to the last weeks we have produced some scintilating football, where GD mattered, others teams being strong will ensure we need to win and score, that means more direct agressive attacking play, not this seasons dreary football we have witnessed this year.

I wonder if Alonso has influenced Wirtz to go to the Dippers - knowing full well that they are are a club that will sell in the future for the right price ! As and when Real decide they need Wirtz as a new shiny toy.

Thing is you can't really predict the future at madrid because one baddish season and you're booted.

It was reported that he had spoken to Nagelsman who advised him to go to Liverpool, thought he would have advised him to go to Bayern.
 
I assume that Alonso won’t be there for long. His preferred position isn’t liked by the Real Madrid fans. They hate the 3atp and have bad experience with it. Last time they used it was against Chelsea and they got overrun by Werner.

Bayern treated Nagelsmann like crap when he was sacked, I don't think he would have recommended Wirtz to Bayern.

I’ll calm down when he and the others sign mate! Living on the Isle of Man though, it’s pretty much all dippers over here, getting giddy and throwing digs about us being rejected etc so it’s become tiresome as unfortunately Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez makes them A LOT better than last season
