Haaland was never just £51m. He was quoted as transfer fee, made up wages and agent fees combined into a larger figure to call his cost. Usually in euros to up it a bit further.

I presume that is the way we quote players costs now, so presumably Wirtz won’t be just the £127m man.

Or they quote all our transfers in euros/italian lira to inflate the figures for the window licking rival fans

He's a great player. But that's ones hell of a fee. Every game missed should be counted in pounds lost, and if he doesn't win them the league next year there should be a venomous inquisition.

He’s a very good player but I’d be more concerned if they were spending that sort of money on a Haaland / Kane / Lewandowski (you get the idea) level centre forward. I don’t see how he improves them that much tbh.

I'm astonished he's picked the dippers and believe he'll regret it for a long time.

whys that, hes just joined a team that walked the league in. comparing our transfers to theirs is ridiculous as they obv only needed a slight tweak so they can pay overs for one player. we are both stronger as a result and hopefully we have closed that gap

Then compare our bench to theirs and there’s no doubt who has the better starting 11 and superior strength in depth.

The new season has the makings for a repeat of the 18/19 and 21/22 seasons against the feral bus wrecking morons and I can’t wait for it!

Wirtz runs more than Cherki and is faster + the Bundesliga is faster so I don’t know how you come up to that conclusion ?

Not really, we can only spend so much. So it's either Wirtz, or, Cherki, Reijnders and Ait-Nouri, for basically the same money.

Which of those scenarios would you choose?

Coz you can't have both, and I'm more than happy with the decision the clubs taken.
