Florian Wirtz

Not really, we can only spend so much. So it's either Wirtz, or, Cherki, Reijnders and Ait-Nouri, for basically the same money.

Which of those scenarios would you choose?

Coz you can't have both, and I'm more than happy with the decision the clubs taken.
From a City perspective, I'd probably rather have the 3 - because we need to rebuild and like you said, money is a limiting factor.

For Liverpool, I'd rather have Wirtz. They just walked the league and don't have as many holes in their squad to fill.

There's a (likely?) scenario that Wirtz is the best player of the bunch. Hopefully not for our sakes, but let's be real. They did well to get him.

Unless they get a couple of big injuries like we did, say Van dijk and salah

Liverpool lose TAA on a free transfer and still get 4 players for 270 million. If that was Chelsea or City, the headlines would be splashed and sow doubt about FFP. Why do Liverpool always enjoy such sympathetic treatment in the media?

But this numbers aren‘t correct? I think there miss a lot of sales (Youth, Loans, Sell-on clauses, etc.)

But no doubt he will be their top earner now in two years they need to replace Salad and Van Dick, those replacements will be top dollar and want parity no doubt. Had we got Wirtz I’d be happy however signing three for the same price seems a great deal, Wirtz gets injured who do they bring in, one of ours gets injured we have two others!

They aren't correct, the dippers lie about everything. It's more like £800m with these signings.

Puts the numbers up for spend between 2020-2025. It is a completely different picture.

Did they invest the Coutinho money in Crypto and Nvidia stock?

whys that, hes just joined a team that walked the league in. comparing our transfers to theirs is ridiculous as they obv only needed a slight tweak so they can pay overs for one player. we are both stronger as a result and hopefully we have closed that gap
I'm not talking about ours and Liverpool's transfers, I'm talking about his decision. I think he's blown it.

If this deal ends up falling through for the dippers and he ends up going to Munich next Summer. I for one will be happy.
But the bigger picture is the PL are shooting themselves in the foot because of FFP/PSR or whatever it is.
Not just this deal but Grealish for example. Not many PL clubs can afford him and his salary. Talks of him going to Italy .
He may not be good enough for us but he can still make an Everton or Newcastle stronger.
It’s possible the PL may have scrapped or loosened the rules. But how would that look given they brought it in to stunt city’s growth and we are fighting them in court.

It’s actually quite funny
When we dropped out of the race (I believe it’s because he picked the dippers) the figures quoted for the full package were huge.
Then the stories of £80m deals etc came out and we all thought they were pulling off a major coup
Now it turns out the €150m was the figure all along

Perfectly fine with this. He didn't want us AND we didn't want to pay the amount needed - happy that Liverpool are paying a wedge
