He is already world classWirtz will be labelled world class the second he puts the dipper shirt on. Also if he has the skill set to boot the ball 60 yards up the pitch for Salah to chase, then he is definitely world class and be awarded the ballon d'or after every game.
No he isn’t.He is already world class
Is it a coup though? As I say I’ve not seen enough of him but usually, like with Haaland, he is heard of in every news outlet and on forums, highlights and the like - just everywhere due to the reputation created by himself. I’ve not really heard Wirtz’s name in the same bracket, infact if it wasn’t for this forum I dare say I’d rarely heard of him.Quite the coup for Liverpool but I’m more than happy with Ait-Nouri, Reijnders and Cherki for roughly the same price.
HahahaHe is already world class
So there’s no Bundesliga player who is world class? Who do you label as world class then?No he isn’t.
This.Good signing but I never wanna hear another dickhead in the media banging on about them supposedly not spending like other clubs do
The fee is exorbitant but he’s one of the most coveted in players in Europe and I’m sure everyone would acknowledge he’s a very good player. Is it a coup though? Not too sure it’s a coup in the same sense as how we landed Haaland, who every top club wanted to sign and was thee name in world football. Not sure that applies to Wirtz
To me it seems the scousers have had their pants pulled down.

However, if we don’t have any long-term injuries to key players and manage to sign a right back, I’m confident we will win the Prem next season. Quite comfortably, in fact.

Not the most encouraging list, is it?Seriously though looking at that list below from the BBC, consider honours won and the destination clubs really reflects positively on the impact Jack's had for us alongside other signings. Fingers crossed Wirtz does not replicate this.
- Neymar (PSG to Barcelona, 2017) £200m
- Kylian Mbappe (Monaco to PSG, 2018) £165.7m
- Joao Felix (Benfica to Atletico Madrid, 2019) £113m
- Enzo Fernandez (Benfica to Chelsea, 2023) £107m
- Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid to Barcelona, 2019) £107m
- Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool to Barcelona, 2018) £105m
- Declan Rice (West Ham to Arsenal, 2023) £105m
- Jack Grealish (Aston Villa to Man City, 2021) £100m
- Moises Caicedo (Brighton to Chelsea, 2023) £100m
Players are overhyped all the time and ‘world class’ is just used far too often, in my opinion. So there’s no Bundesliga player who is world class? Who do you label as world class then?
Did the stance change because he is moving to Liverpool?
The guy who won the league for Leverkusen the first time after being called VIZEKUSEN for years isn’t world class while winning 2 time Bundesliga player of the league in a row?
Musiala isn’t world class in your eyes either then if Wirtz isn’t.
Can’t believe they didn’t push Leverkusen to call it £115M, with add ons…£116m PLUS ADD ONS. Please report honestly like all the media will.
Not the most encouraging list, is it?
Neymar was a win for Barca.
Mbappe was mostly a win for PSG but sort of not?
Joao Feix to Atletico was... mixed.
Enzo to Chelsea has been... mixed to positive?
Griezmann to Barca was... mixed.
Coutinho to Barca was... mixed.
Rice to Arsenal has been mostly good with some caveats.
Grealish to City was mixed-to-good depending on who you listen to.
Caicedo to Brighton has been alright?
Lots of pressure on Wirtz.
The things I've seen today have said £100m that can go up to £116m. Not sure what the truth is.£116m PLUS ADD ONS. Please report honestly like all the media will.
