He is £116m plus add ons. The 116 is €127.5m and there are reputed to be a further £15m in add ons taking the total to about €150m.

It's probably 116 + add ons. But since it's Liverpool, they won't include that.

If we had signed him, they'd include the add ons, his wages, 10 years of inflation, and report the deal in Japanese Yen.

When we were in for him it was a ‘£300m deal’
They forgot agent fees, wages, parking charge, lunch and the cost of the pen to sign the contract.
Also they’re apparently paying for him with the money they get for winning the league.
Shame we can’t do that ; )
 
As good as Wirtz is there is no real difference between Cherki and Liverpool's expensive purchase.

And now The Athletic's Ornstein has claimed that Liverpool have 'agreed a fee of €136.3million (£116m) to sign' Wirtz from Leverkusen this summer. Ornstein adds: 'The fee is comprised of a €117.5m (£100m) upfront fee with a further €18.8m (£16m) in add-ons, with Wirtz expected to sign a five-year deal at Anfield.
 
he is a good player and it is a good signing for them. They will be favourites but I of course wish them injuries to Wirst, the former Egyptian king and van dick

Wirtz started for Leverkusen at the age of 17. he was regarded the biggest talent in Germany since he was 13.

Where did you read that he has never won anything at youth tournaments? Wirtz literally won the „ Fritz-Walter Medallie“ .
Even if he didn’t win them how does that compare to what was going on in the last 2 years? Foden scored more goals, yes while Wirtz had more assists. Again Foden is more a scorer while Wirtz is a creator and a ball carrier. Foden was never mentioned in my text. I don’t get the point to downgrade a player just because he moved to another club while he was the second coming of Jesus 2 weeks ago until the statement that City pulled out of the race. If we compare Wirtz and Foden I doubt the club would go for Wirtz if Wirtz wasn’t better than Foden as a creator. Same with Cherki. They operate differently than Foden.

again if Wirtz wasn’t special the top clubs wouldn’t go after him. He is regarded higher than Musiala after beating the overpowered Munich while not losing 1 game + winning Bundesliga player of the year 2 times in a row at the age of 20-21.
Every #10 or every player has to be somehow compared to Foden. There are other talents out there my guy. The media, the teams other experts seem to think that Wirtz is special. There‘s nothing wrong with it. And if you actually watched more Leverkusen games and not just the last nations league game you would know that he is a special talent. And in terms of age comparison worth has more since he had to actually carry Leverkusen and not be a part of it and it’s not an attack on Foden is just the fact that you call positives „ at the age of worth Foden did this and that in a tougher league. Wirtz isn’t part of the strongest team in the league - in a league where one club wins 8 out of 10.

You said Wirtz is world class and the best player in his position. He plays pretty much the same position as Foden.
Wirtz has not done anything in his career to suggest he has been better than Foden.
At every level from under 16's to now, Foden has achieved more.
If you're going to call Wirtz the best player in the world in his position, don't be shocked when people compare him to Foden.
You're the one coming out with all the hyperbole.
Wirtz may go on to be an all time great. But he is not yet.
There is a debate to be had about whether Wirtz is actually better than Cole Palmer, nevermind Foden.

That was the information I had.
It was not possible that having rejected a higher bid, they would then drop.
 
Reflecting on City’s decision to walk away from the Florian Wirtz deal really highlights how strong our financial position is under the PSR framework. According to experts such as Kieran Maguire/Stefan Borson, over the last three years, we’ve generated a profit of little over £230 million, which gives us significant headroom for a comprehensive squad rebuild. This could have played a crucial role in our decision not to pursue Wirtz at the present costings.

Bringing in Wirtz at £116 million with wages in the region of £350-400k per week would have resulted in a PSR impact of over £40 million per year. In contrast, acquiring Rayan Cherki for around £34 million with weekly wages of approximately £100-200k (at a guess) results in an annual PSR cost close to £15 million. Essentially, by opting for Cherki over Wirtz, we save roughly £25 million per season on PSR costs, while still securing a player of comparable quality. From a financial and strategic standpoint, it’s a clear and prudent decision from the Club.

Our financial health speaks for itself, with according to the experts having over £300 million to spend without coming close to breaking PSR rules. As long as our new signings are secured on longer-term contracts (4-6 years) we maintain an incredibly strong wage-to-revenue ratio. Kieran Maguire previously pointed out that we had one of the healthiest wage to revenue ratios in the league, even when we had big earners like Haaland and Kev. Letting go of high earners like Grealish, KDB, and Walker will put us in an even stronger position financially.

Buying Wirtz simply didn’t align with the broader squad rebuild and financial sustainability goals, and huge credit must go to Hugo Viana. He's brought in high quality players at very reasonable prices. When you factor in the annual PSR costs, Wirtz’s annual cost when signing for Liverpool is around £43 million (I could be wrong). On the other hand Cherki, Reijnders and Ait Nouri combined annual cost is approximately £45-46 million. We've absolutely smashed it this transfer window.
