FOC Roll Call :-)

68 years old, my first game was with my dad in 1965 away to Bury (Colin was still playing for the shakers) we lost 2-1, got a season ticket in 1975 . Like most folk stood on the kippax, but if dad wanted to go due to his age and health I've sat in the North Satnd, Platt lane and the Main Stand with him.

When we moved to the EITHAD I got a season ticket first in the East stand and tried every year to move further forward in that stand. Then we switched to the Colin Bell stand with fantastic seats right on the half way line about 6 rows back from the TV camera's.

Due to a major downturn in my health (2 unrelated cancers and all the treatment that goes with that) I've not been well enough to attend. My eldest lad managed to get my season card transfered to 11 year old grandson who is absolutely City mad.

Just an armchair fan now, I'll always remember the 77-78 season me and Rammyblues got to every league game both home and away, plus all the cup games outside of European ones. Portman Road and Carrow Road stands out for me from that season, a hellish drive down 6 hours or so for both of them, we lost 1-0 at Ipswich and only drew 1-1 with Norwich.

I've got some amazing City friends so I still get to go to the boozer and chat shit with them. CTID

I went to a match at Bury to watch Colin Bell when he was rumoured that City were interested in buying him.

My first game was a 1-0 home defeat by Sheffield Utd with Grey Haired Alan Woodward scoring straight from a corner against Joe -1973 I think. A few months on and it was every H game. Since then I’ve worked down South loads but current SC goes back to 1996 now

That reminds me of a famous night in Alty, when a few of us "re-arranged" his pub, after a derby game.k

Hi pal. Never noticed you post on here before meeting and I've met you twice now at meet ups, the first time i don't recall speaking much. Second time we had a chat towards the end and i must say i think you had an interesting life working abroad for years. You mentioned you'd like to meet up again providing "I'm still here" as you said. Well i must say i hope you are next time we have a meet up. Best of health and hopefully see you soon.
Any time you hear of a meet up let me know ,a meet up prior to the champions league final in London would be a bonus, see you at the next one,or Wednesday in Blackley 3pmish.

A genuine FOC from Level 3? Is 305 in the East Stand. So yer not one of the annointed FOCs from CBL3?

I'll raise yer two, In fact, I could be raising yer three in a couple of months, Fred. Block 323. I just thought for a minute that E was a £ and yer'd only paid £129 for yer ST.
305 is in the 'Kippax' in old money.

Sunset Strip for me. 1956 FA Cup Final on rented 12" Granada TV (and mother charging neighbours 1 shilling to watch it) First Maine Road in 1957, can't remember the match but do recall being awed by the sight of so much green grass, not too much of it in Cheetham.

I went to a match at Bury to watch Colin Bell when he was rumoured that City were interested in buying him.
Did you notice how useless he was, can’t head a ball and no left foot. Lacking in pace if I recall
