What do we know about this kid?

Sky Sports understands Premier League champions Manchester City are leading the chase for talented teenager Foday Nabay.

The Sierra Leone-born youngster, who turns 14 next month, is now de-registered as a Birmingham City player.

However, the Championship club would be entitled to training compensation for helping nurture his fledgling career.

Nabay is one of the brightest talents in England with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all reported to be interested in securing his signature.

City are now believed to be in pole position to sign him, with a possible decision on his future expected within two days.

Nabay has already attracted media attention having been remarkably called up by England Under-16s last summer.

Manchester City are willing to offer Foday Nabay the most attractive package for a 13-year-old ever in British football as they bid to gazump their bitter city rivals to the wonderkid.

Nabay's representatives held talks with Manchester United chiefs on Tuesday - as exclusively revealed by Sportsmail.

However, City made their pitch to the teenager's advisors on Wednesday - and while regulations prevent the Etihad Stadium side from paying Nabay directly until his 17th birthday - the Barclays Premier League champions are willing to blow United's offer out of the water with a deal understood to eclipse anything of its kind in British football history.

The fact City are willing to pull out all the stops to land Nabay - who recently left Birmingham - underlines his status as one of the hottest prospects in England.

In addition to City and United, Nabay has also held discussions with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

City's offer makes them serious contenders to land Sierra Leone-born Nabay - but the teenager is understood to be keeping an open mind as to where he will move this summer.

Sportsmail understands the youngster is keen to join a club he feels will offer him first-team football at the earliest opportunity.

Given his contractual ties with Birmingham have been severed, the Premier League's elite are free to discuss a move with Nabay's representatives.

However, the Blues would be due a compensation fee, but it is understood the youngster could cost as little as £65,000.
