Not sure you can blame appendicitis on England.Always happens during international duty. Its not just City players either. Something is up at that camp. This couldn't have come at a worse time, we are going into the business end of the season with 2 senior wingers.

Source pleasePhil has had emergency surgery for appendicitis. I would imagine he’ll be out for a few weeks. Couldn’t have happened at a worse time for us.

Firstly, it goes without saying that Phil's health is the most important thing. Appendicitis can be serious if not found quickly, thankfully it seems he'll be fine.
This is a massive blow for us, there's no dressing it up. Phil was coming to the boil nicely, and a big source of goals and creativity.
Jack and Riyad are going to be flogged now, and if Bernardo has to play on the right it means even less rest for Kev and Gundo.
Cole and Kalvin have to step up now, we'll need to rely on them if we're going to have any chance of winning the big prizes.

Edit: I don't suppose anyone has a clue on recovery for a professional athlete nowadays?
It could be that it came on suddenly, over the last 24/48 hours, we don’t know, unless you know differently. Anyway, let’s see how long it takes for him to recover. Remember, these sportsmen receive the best after care and physiotherapy, unlike us who take many weeks to recover from surgery.Shame he couldn’t have had the surgery at the start of the waste of fucking time that is the international break.
