Foden's goal

One thing I noticed, and liked, for Foden's goal was Doku's position as he received the ball. He'd come off the wing, and taken up a position between the lines and slightly to the right of middle where he could receive the ball and drive into the area to create mayhem. I think it created problems for their defenders as it negated the doubling up they could do when he's out on the wing. I think he should come off the wing more often.

Doku was excellent. Should have had 3 or even 4 assists. Haaland’s miss and Reijnders straight at keeper in first half when anywhere else it was a goal.

Foden is the key in this City squad and has been for 4 years, when he's fit and match fit, he wins games by his energy alone, it sort of rubs off on the other players and its like playing with your kids and it's fun and games and you don't want it to end,

He makes football look so easy. When he's in the pocket between the lines, he is very dangerous and defenders can not pick him up or stop him running at them, When City play down the middle and that little fast switch to Foden opens up all sorts of options

Phil Foden can be the key player for City for another 5 to 8 years if he stays injury-free and hungry
He can beat the records of the class of 1992 players in titles and cups, even Champions League titles

It’s really heartening to see Foden back to his best. I love seeing how much scoring for his team as a fan means.
We are so lucky to have genuine fans playing for us and seeing Erling’s post match interview on motd when he also called himself a fan was great. The derby win really meant the world to those two.
Great to see.

The commitment from Haaland in signing a ten year contract is wonderful, especially as we all know Real and others will be after him. Fat chance, He's going nowhere. Will Phil do the same?

I can't remember him getting too many headed goals. @Gary James?

I remember him scoring at least one more. It was against Spurs when he was around 18. We were bad that day. I think we came off a European game and Spurs had several good chances. I think we won 1-0. Key game in winning the title.

His first was a belter…1 yard out against Spurs and a game winner!!
His Brentford away header wasn't too shabby either, part of a perfect hat trick
Left foot right foot and header
The last person to score a perfect hat trick for City away from home was Niall Quinn at selhurst v Palace early 90s when we played in all white under Reid.

Sublime goal. That header needed both pace and placement - which Foden delivered! It was not at all a sitter and needed a lot of skill to succeed.
