food outlets for next season.

It seems to me that all these schemes aren't even aimed at the regulars, City seemed to have identified the occasional match-goer with little or no allegiances and money in his pocket as the 'target market'.

Less affectionately known as 'part-time, bandwagon-jumping glory hunting scum' these people have little or no affinity with the club and haven't invested the time, money and effort we have, and never will either.

I feel as though we're being taken for granted, this is the greatest time in decades that it's been to be a blue, but I can't overlook worrying signs when they're staring me in the face.
.

That is completely true.

Just take a look at the so called 'putting the fans first' survey recently and consider who the questions are aimed at.

It certainly isn't someone who has been going for years and is virtually guaranteed to turn up at current prices.

What makes it all worse is that Garry Cook has tried to paint himself as completely the opposite of all this and a fan's man.

Well, I've fluctuated back and forth on my opinion of him but I now have him firmly back in the bullshitter draw and can't see him leaving it anytime soon.

For someone with such a big gob and so keen to get his mug on TV he has been extremely quiet regarding the season tickets and all the associated price increases this close season.

The man talks through his arse imo and existing fans and giving them a better deal is just about bottom of his agenda.

At least he isn't in the public eye recently and is getting on with his job. It's just that that job now includes trying to wring every last fucking penny out of loyal fans during the worst economic climate in decades.

All made even more ridiculous given that on every single issue, other than the fans, the club currently has a "fuck the cost" approach.

In the week that Yaya Toure's agent was allowed to say "no" 5 times before finally negotiating a ridiculous £220k a week, here's some more shit poured on the loyal fan. All these price increases will not even make a mark in paying for the likes of Toure, so in that context it all seems rather a load of bollocks.

And spare me the "but Uefa want a profit" bullshit. This club will not be making a profit anytime soon and if anyone believes that these ticket and associated increases are going to have any significance in that then they are living in cloud cuckoo land.

What are the odds on Cook being so quiet on other issues during the season?

You know for a fact the 220k a week contract is a load of bullshit.

The prices have gone up 20p, yeah, it's expensive but so fucking what, it's not the end of the world, you've got plenty of chippys and takeaways in walking distance of the ground if you don't want to buy the refreshments at COMS.

I really hope you don't go to games because you are one negative and miserable poster. The club is in the best position of it's history, on the verge of big things and you find time to moan over food prices in the ground when you don't even have to buy anything!!

and yeah, I agree with the other poster, I've met some right dicks amongst our support but you really do take the biscuit.

I don't know who you support but you certainly don't support Manchester City.

Everyone has a choice.

I won't be paying £4 for a scoop. On the otherhand, if pints were £2.50 each, I buy at least 3. City would have £7.50 out of me. I'd probably have bought a pie as well. That's a tenner lost.

good news about the heineken, much better than singha imo, and if bar is open later then that's got to be a good thing too, rather have a few beers at ground than at picc station.

i understand why people don't like price increases, especially when a lot of employers aren't offering pay rises, but surely its a small price to pay if you consider the increase in quality on the pitch and the real chances of winning something soon (fingers crossed). imo players like yaya are top players and therefore we need to pay premium prices for them, and it is then up to those players to justify their wages...

So it's chips with cheese and onion pie or nothing. At nearly £5 I choose nothing and either eat before I leave or call at a chippy before going in the ground.

Hmmm best not enlighten you on some of the contents of your average Cheese and onion pie then or there wont be much left for you to eat, I prefer to lean towards the meat though knowing the pro's and cons of both ;o)

lmao only on bluemoon could there be a thread with 21 pages devoted to the food at the club :)

theres more meat in the cheese and onion pasty than the steak slices anyway.

Good to see the brains trust out in force on this thread.

Shocked that they do anything other than address the point though.

Who'd have thought it.

Anyone for organising a mass vuvuzela concert in one of the blocks next season instead. You know, keeping it real and on topic.

Peace, children.
