What is a fix is how the FA come out the day after the Liverpool/Chelsea game to say Bosingwa won't be charged over his boot to the back of Benayoun but SWP gets made an example of for a crime thats less aggressive behaviour than that of Bosingwa.

Absolutely right, but i believe that being down to a f*ckin corrupt FA, rather than football being fixed.

I dont say it doesnt happen, but it would have to involve a lot of people for it to work. Even a ref would have trouble ensuring a 'fixed' result with the spotlight so heavily on him, and needing both teams to play a part in the outcome.

Fixing went on for years in Italy when teams threatened with relegation or going for promotion would ask a 'favour' from the president of their final day opponents. Apart from the Everton debacle years back I don't think the problem is anything major in England.
Now the referees favouring top 4 sides cos they're shit scared of losing future big games, thats a totally different ball game.
