Football league teams City have never played in our history

I moved to the west country back in in the 70's. The day we moved in, the new neighbours came round to introduce themselves and offer a cup of coffee. We soon got talking about football and the chap said he supported Bristol City. When I told him I supported Manchester City he mentioned his company had a sponsorship deal and, as the two teams were playing the next day he invited me to the match. The missus wasn't best pleased but I went.
I can't recall much about the match except we won and a feeling it inappropriate to celebrate when we scored.

Never won at Ashton gate in the 70s mate.

Then I have clearly misremembered. I was sure we won away 0-1 and remember not being able to shout for City or wear my scarf. Old age I'm afraid.
I do recall getting a bollocking from the wife leaving her to the unpacking.

My home town team, Yeovil Town, had a few years of success in the EFL, reaching the Championship. Sadly they went straight down and it almost destroyed the club. They are in the National League under new ownership, having narrowly avoided administration or a wind-up, and out of the FA cup already. Would love them to survive and get an away game at the Etihad next season or beyond.

Can't recall us winning there, but we definitely lost 1-0 there in the 70s .... Chris Garland scored for Bristol City .... was a bit rough outside afterwards.
