I’m not overly bothered about the ffp side of things, in terms of whethe doing this enabled us to evade further sanctions. What "crimes" have City been accused of exactly? A wealthy individual investing his own legit money in his own legit business is legal. The "rules" City are alleged to have broken are themselves of dubious legality and UEFA ducked out of having their day in court on the matter, which should tell you an awful lot about FFP. It was simply a protectionist construct put together at the behest of certain elite clubs.

They also “changed” the rules after they’d fined us - allowing owners to invest - because the other so called “old” elite clubs couldn’t live with FFP.

This merely reinforces the lazy German attitude that City are some kind of RB Leipzig monster without heritage or history.

In contrast, every stadium plays “You’ll never walk alone” and they clearly view Anfield as the soul of football.

Mention that City won as many trophies as Liverpool from 1872-1972, and they’re genuinely shocked.

I agree with your sentiments regarding FFP but, and it’s a big but, we chose not to challenge the legality or fairness when we took ‘the pinch’. We have played the game of compliance since. If someone proves that we haven’t been complient then it’s a lot more difficult now to claim FFP is not legal in the first place!

In simplistic terms are these leaks saying we tried to cheat but we got found out hence we failed FFP and we were fined. If so what is the story as it's very old

my concern would be around the allegations that the Sheik continues to subsidise our sponsorship ‘up to the recent past’ which takes the allegations outwith the timescales of the initial FFP investigation. If these allegations are untrue then the club does need to respond in an appropriate manner.

'upto the recent past' is very very woolly.

2008 to 2009 is recent past in HH's ownership & the clubs whole history.

I think if they had anything solid to say it'd be worded much differently.
