Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

Love to see all the British journalists or slags as I like to call them, jumping on the bandwagon and sticking their beaks in.
Neil custis, Mark Ogden, James duckegg, ian Herbert, ian ladyman should never be allowed in our ground again, they are just regurgitating the story for their own benefit and for clicks and likes.
It's pathetic how quick they've been to kick sand in our face.
Fuck them, ban them and never associate with them again.

If I was them I would be doing exactly the same. It's a juicy story, perfect for filling column inches between games. It's what they do for a living so what do you expect? No one can get near us on the pitch, and they have tried every other stick to beat us with and failed, so the emergence of this story is lapped up, ingested, digested and regurgitated, to the delight of the non-City footballing world.
It was about time someone stood up to UEFA and demonstrated that their cosy cartel could be broken up by a club with ambition and resources. Shook 'em up and made things more interesting. They hate it and I'm loving it. We even boo their anthem. We won't be bullied.
As for what happens next to keep the story running? The ball is in UEFA's court. Will they reopen the case? No because it would expose the shaky foundations of FFP. UEFA would have been as satisfied as City with the outcome of the original investigation - it worked for both sides. Was there a bit of shady dealing going on? - probably, remember this is Platini's UEFA we are talking about, not the church harvest festival committee. We played their game, it was a score draw, and we moved on.
So, expect muck raking by the usual journalistic suspects over the next few days, allow them their day in the sun and then wait for the silence that follows when the next big story comes along.
Politics in sport is a murky world and things are never quite as they seem. "Owner invests money in football club" is not quite the attention-grabbing headline they want, so when something like this comes along, it gets exploited and inflated. It's the world we live in. We are big boys now so we deal with it.

I'm no solicitor but from what I understand we haven't broke any laws, accounting or otherwise.

Worse case scenario we bent some rules, rules we never agreed with from the get go.

Have I missed anything, if not why all the fucking fuss on twitter and in the papers?

There's investigative journalism, and there's also getting on a soap box like some journalists have done and demanding action be taken when they haven't even considred the kernel of the argument.

We want our football clubs to be held responsible. Wasn't long ago that Football Leaks found information on Raiola and payments by Utd to Pogba. What happened with that. It's been buried so deep we've all forgotten about it.

In fairness Ducker will just be reporting the information being fed to him, I don't think he's leading a monolithic conspiracy against us.

The best thing City can do is to keep calm and collected, and respond at the right time as the club sees fit, no doubt with our ownership, we'll have this all in order.

Yeah, I think this is about right. Ducker doesn't come over well, but his "other PL clubs" article doesn't say who these are.

I wonder if City are keeping quiet until all the Spiegel stuff is out, so they can frame a response. I'd expect there are some behind the scenes conversations happening with anyone appropriate.

"As a City supporter for 60+ years I would just add that scapegoating ‘Oil Money’ and the ‘Nouveau Riche’ for the decline of the Bundesliga is chillingly reminiscent of evil crimes your nation would like us all to forget and forgive."

That's quite a leap you've made there, did you attach a gif of you doing the funny walk as well...? ;)

Biggest scandal in this Man City leaks thing is that Mancini got paid 9.9m to leave
