Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

The leaks keep coming. Time to call a plumber.

Its the opposite what Mansour wants regarding positive (media) exposure for Abu Dhabi.

We have to track down the people behind Football Leaks. And employ them to dig up shit about United too.

PwC doesn't understand IAS 24!
You're better than that BA; related party rules are clear and not particularly new.
They claimed that some of our deals were related party deals when they weren't. That was just one of the nunerous issues we had with PwC.
They aldo ruled out valuations based on 10 year deals extrapolating the recent general rise of sponsorship into the future As it happens, Etihad got a very good deal looking at the figures 5 years later.

PwC auditors didn't understand IAS-24 rules regarding related parties and thats a fact - otherwise UEFA would have thrown the book at us

I'm confused with what you are saying....
They claimed some deals were related parties that weren't but if they had got it correct we would have the book thrown at us.

That's what I'm saying. UEFA didn't throw the book at us, so clearly UEFA considered PwC to have over egged the pudding somewhat.

This reminds me of the hand ringing going on in American college basketball right now.

What evidence that they have can they even prosecute us on? All they have are just rumors (supposedly back up with evidence from media sources.) UEFA has as good a case as they were going to get.... and still didn't do anything but fine us. It's more PSG who look like they reached the point of passed caring. And just started injecting cash at will. This just seems like another goose chase. I'm sick of these stories.

It's a long read but this pearl is at the end....

"In the years following the settlements, PSG and Manchester City together spent more than a billion euros on new players."

So if I read this read this right . UEFA broke their own rules cos City threatened to take then to court for breaking their own and EU rules but City broke the rules by agreeing to with UEFA to break UEFAs rules and taking a hit . Simple
