Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

About right but what about UEFA changing the accountancy rules after we had submitted our accounts? We actually passed the original ffp.

There is nothing to stop city investing in a sponsor. No laws are broken because the whole premise of you can't invest in business is ludicrous. The story should be the cartel of clubs that has a strong influence on UEFA....take that to court.

Spot on pal but those type of articles will not be published or even written by the press, because in their heads it just isnt true. As that article eludes too, ffp has created a closed door on ANY other club being taken over and doing what ourselves and psg have done and broke the established elite stranglehold on domestic silverware.

I mentioned in another post, that i and i honestly believe us a long standing City fans would not be bothered one iota if another club was bought and started to challenge - the g14 however would be in total uproar

The ESL has absolutely no chance of getting off the ground. There is absolutely no way the Premier League will just lets its big 5 teams to up and walk out as it would just kill the premier league. Expect a bigger split in premier league earnings in favour of the prem top 6. If the top prem clubs can earn more money staying in England then why would they bother with an ESL?

Anything that challenges United Liverpool and Bayern is a good thing in my book.

This is why they are so against the CWC and the more equal distribution of wealth. I'm not a fan under normal circumstances as there are too many tournaments already but their strong objection makes me think FIFA might have a good idea for once.

Manchester City facing calls for Champions League ban after Football Leaks revelations

Europe's giants are enlisting the help of rivals Manchester United to get Sheikh Mansour's club kicked out

MANCHESTER CITY face calls for a Champions League ban after the Football Leaks revelations.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona want City punished over claims they hid millions in funding from owner Sheikh Mansour to beat Financial Fair Play rules.

I see the Sun has substituted 'revelations' for 'allegations'. That should be enough to warrant a call to City's lawyers.

The G14 cartel are behind these allegations and illegally obtaining information.
They are the only ones who tick all the boxes in regards to who is at threat from City and who is to gain from release of these emails.
I suppose this ffp stuff was, always, eventually going to cause a mini earthquake in European football. It was inevitable.
How far the G14 are willing to go to exclude all newcomers and interlopers is not known.
The puzzling thing is if this is all about putting pressure on eufa, and creating a new euro league, why were city involved in discussions from the beginning?
Maybe our early stage exclusion from discussions would raise more eyebrows and confirm G14 guilt and intent. Maybe.

4 years earlier - "That'll teach'em, 50m fine and smaller squad, job jobbed!"

2018 - "Shit, that didn't work! Punish them again for the same thing, but this time kick them out of the competition and make sure they can't buy players!"

I'm pretty sure our owners were serious when they said they'd take a pinch, UEFA know the score and some of Europes top clubs may find muck slinging works both ways.
