Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

No worries mate, I’m trying to follow the thread whilst out with the family walking the dog so am probably missing things anyway!
I'd put your phone away and enjoy the walk, there's nothing new in any of this, it was dealt with at the time, we took "the pinch" and moved on, to become one of the best teams in the world.

The german media don't like the fact that bayern could get sidetracked, yet its the german fa's own fault for the way they demand football is run in germany by bayern.

Nail on the head cleavers....nowt to worry about just sour grapes from across the water

The only thing remotely controversial that I can see is the inflated sponsorships.

Presuming the figures that we've seen are the ones presented to UEFA (and we don't know if they were front loaded or what the terms of the deals were), they were checked and cleared by UEFA. They even said some were ok but don't increase them.

So nothing really to see there either. But fun to see people getting wound up into a frenzy about it.

I’m guessing the related parties revenue was what City took issue with and threatened legal action.
Hence the climb down from UEFA.

The stench is overwhelming in terms of the colour used in these articles.

Once you take away the facts we've long well known, and the names of the individuals involved, the most which can be derived from this is a few German journalists moralising from their keyboards.

It's a German-centric piece stating the case for old money over new dirty Arab money.

I wonder if they have any related party info on the United supporting chief who was sacked three weeks after sanctioning £650m sponsorship from Chevrolet?

Perhaps the back handed related party via the Boston based New Balance subsidiary Warrior Sports, which coincidentally sponsors Boston Red Sox, coincidentally owned by Liverpool owner J W Henry, who coincidentally decided to pay Liverpool £25m a year to make their shirts.

I wonder what the size of the runner-up bid was...

I’m glad the club took a hard stand love the bit about the Sheikh refusing to pay and tying them up in the courts Most on here were saying that’s what the club should be doing, at the time. Nothing the club have to answer now it was all accepted at the time it’s called negotiation and if you’ve got muscles you flex them It’s tomorrow’s chip paper in the end

I have a german mate, who's is also a City fan, and its exactly that.

They love bayern above any other club (we think its bad here with the united and scouse bitterness), and anything that threatens bayern is game for picking on.

They regularly have articles about us in the german media, especially if we are playing a german club in the CL, but they slyly dig at us in every article, using the "perfection" that is bayern, even if we are playing Dortmund or the like, they're never supportive of Dortmund or whoever we are playing in them, just bayern, every time.
