How often have we heard pundits and journos claim the following:

City are owned by a country?
or
City are owned by the royal family of Abu Dhabi?

This actually led me to believe Abu Dhabi must be a country I'd seen this repeated so many times I'm embarrassed to say, I normally wouldn't be too interested in that side of the world in my defence.

The more I learn about the geography of it and how it relates to the rest of football the more hypocrisy I see. So any lurking BBC/Mirror/Daily Mail journos lets get it right, it's not a bloody country it's a City. UAE is a country and Sheikh Mansour is a member of the ruling family fair enough but it's quite an important distinction. More than that though it's a country that unites 7 Emirates(City states) in the Persian Gulf, Abu Dhabi being the capital, Dubai being another one. The hypocrisy is that Dubai were pumping money into football way before Abu Dhabi and everyone was fine with it, sponsoring teams and schemes with no faux outrage made(Arsenal since 2004? via Emirates Airlines, via The Emirates Group, via the government of Dubai's Investment Corporation). Qatar is another Persian Gulf country that has been doing the same with all the same problems as the UAE just as long as Abu Dhabi got involved(Barca since 2010) again nobody was getting worked up over that or even mentioning it.

Also regarding the ownership itself, half of them can't even get that right, City are owned by CFG, CFG are as of Dec 2015 owned 87% by ADUG and 13% China Media Capital. ADUG are a private investment and development company belonging to Sheikh Mansour, nobody else.

All this information is publicly available, there's really no excuse for people who's job is to be informed on the things they are writing about to be making these errors so consistently. It's no wonder rags and dippers spout such nonsense, I wouldn't think any of the above was the case going off what most of these pundits and journos say most of the time.

Spot on but majority of the media not interested in the truth! They rather peddle there own Narative.

Well considering City, Chelsea and PSG have pumped 4 billion worth of transfer fees into European football I'm not surprised, in fact without those 3 clubs then FFP would be a big fat failure, here's a quote from UEFA's site "Seven years ago, European clubs had a cumulative debt of €1.7bn. Last year, it was a profit of €600m. Without question, it has been a success for the game across Europe."
Let's say us and PSG never happened, minus 3 billion from that 600 million profit, much worse then :/
 
Interesting to read today that Real Madrid are waiting on the sidelines to pillage PSG should they get sanctioned under FFP - that would be the same RM that take state aid and do dodgy land deals with local and national governments. What a farce.
 
F f p needs destroyed in court. PSG and City should pump 50 million a piece into a legal fun and take u e f a and f I f a apart. A one buying any business that is under achieving or run down even the local fruit and veg store should be allowed to invest what they like to bring it to competitiveness in its market.

We all dream . I love City but also hold a candle for a few others. Port vale, Accrington, Notts county and Cowdenbeath. I would love a billionaire to have a go at those so their fans could enjoy the journey like I have at City.
If we dropped to the National league I wouldn't care I still love City and would keep my season ticket. That's football and that's being City.

Something that often gets forgotten in these debates is that you couldn't take any club and take them to the heights that City are experiencing now.

City were a 'sleeping giant', a 'big club', Manchester is a major population centre, we had the stadium, the potential was enormous and that potential is now being realized.

In short, the Sheikh made the right decision.
 
If you want a laugh read this SER19 guys post on the CAF absolutely deluded a little sh1t who feels he’s so untitled with his opinion. Just said to a City fan there that there obsessed with United but 70-80% of his post recently is all City related lol even tho these leaks have come out about PSG he’s whining about City. I mean reading his stuff makes me want to vommited due to the sheer double standard and hypocrisy that reeks from his posts.
