Played with bury, west brom and Southampton.
In my second season with city now however, the transfer budget is fun to play with

I once won the European Cup with Rushden and Diamonds with Ibrahimovic up front. That was on one of the old Champ mans where you could still get Ibra from malmo ff.

Can't/don't play anymore. Looking back it's far more addictive than most drugs and should be banned. Donny, give it up! Read a novel, see a play, learn another language! There's a whole world out there!

Try Oldham. They have City as a parent club so you can get a few good loans. I managed to get Evans, Logan and McDermott and they basically won me promotion on their own.

Hey, ive been playing football manager a while now and have basiccally done everything with city, looking for a new start, ive thought of being a team like Droylseden and taking them to prem, but its to hard! does anybody have any new ideas? or tips for being a conference team

This is the official FM forums challenge thread and there are some cracking ones on there.

I've tried the "Gundo small club from a European Nation" challenge and the "San Marino" challenge - both have provided many hours of entertainment!!

In a nutshell, this involves "holidaying" for a year, then taking one of the new clubs promoted into the Conference North/South clubs as far as you can.

If you are playing on FM09 you need to load a data file (from the forum) into the game to make it authentic (its easier than it sounds!!)

If you are playing on FM08, you start straight away.

I'm currently struggling with Hednesford after getting them promoted into the Conference Premier!!

You're the 'kiddie' for your posts on the subject. I'm in my mid twenties and been playing it since 1997!

Carry on playing it lads, it's worth wasting many a weekend trying to get Boston United promoted.
