East Level 2 said:We won six out of seven swamp derbies from 68 to 74 and also won a few at home including a League Cup semi so I'm guessing at Bell, Doyle and Lee from that era.
Answers:
Which 3 City Players in the clubs history have played in and won (including used sub appearances) the most Manchester Derby matches ?
1. Tommy Booth - Pld 21 - W 11 L 4 D 6
2. Mike Doyle - Pld 24 - W 10 L 7 D 7
3. Joe Corrigan - Pld 26 - W 10 L 7 D 9
I also think Joe Corrigan went some 10 Derbies between 1969 and 1976 before eventually losing one (at the very end of the 1975 - 1976 season) which is the longest unbeaten run by a City player v Utd (as far as I can tell).
Joe Corrigan has also played in more Derby matches than anyone else i.e. 26 (one more than Alan Oakes)
Which of these 3 has the most Derby wins and how many ?
As shown above this is Tommy Booth
Which 3 players have played in and lost (including used sub appearances) the most Manchester Derbies ?
1. Shaun Wright Phillips - Pld 15 - W 4 L 9 D 2
2. Vincent Kompany - Pld 18 - W 8 L 9 D 1
3. Bert Truatmann - Pld - 23 - W 8 L 9 D 6
Which City player never won a Manchester Derby in his 12 Derby appearances ?
Niall Quinn - Pld - 12 - W 0 L8 D 4
Another teaser to mull over this weekend.
Off all the players in Man Citys' history which 11 would have in effect won the most points as a player i.e. assuming that for the total no. of appearances a player has made for City (as a starter or as a used sub), they would have won x amount of those games and Lost y amount of those games and drew z amount of those games, and assuming 3 pts for each game they played in that was won and 1 pt for each game they played in that was drawn (and obviously 0 pts for a defeat), and extrapolating back to ensure that in the days of 2 pts for a win that would now be 3 pts for a win, who makes up our top 11. Anyone care to guess ?
