Can't ever imagine Buzzer, Big George Heslop or Alan Oakes running around in a pair because it was "cold".

Are today's millionaire superstars namby pambies, or do you have a certain amount of sympathy for them plying their trade in the biting wind?

why it would be anyone's bloody business if players wear gloves or not?

Utter "hardman" bollocks. So fans can be ninjas when it's cold but players are spoiled when they wear gloves..

Don't give a shit if they wear gloves as well if those in 60/70s had.

Football players are not gladiators though I wouldn't be surprised if that become something the most spoiled of all spoiled people - football fans, start demanding - "if you're not covered with blood before final whistle, you're chicken and should never wear (insert color and club) shirt anymore"

Gloves werent invented back in t'day.

When I'm at a match and its freezing I wrap up as warm as I can. I don't blame players for doing the same.

Yeah they can wear them for me, my hands always fucking kill when they get cold and go numb

I was always told that If your cold your not running enough. That's why it's acceptable for keepers to wear them padded trousers.

No problem with them of course, though short sleeves and gloves (I'm looking at you, Dzeko and Kolo) are just ridiculous looking.

No totally unaceptable.

As are Snoods, Coloured Boots, Diving (unless your name is Lee or Wanchope), feighning injury, doing a stupid rehearsed dance after a Goal is scored, dating someone from a Soap or Reality show, having an Agent who isn't a relative, not playing for your Country because its only a friendly and being a guest on Soccer AM.

-- Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:49 am --

Mr La di Da Gunner Graham !!

They started to say goalies were sissy when they started wearing gloves in goal.

I'm used to the players wearing gloves now. I still think it's sissy. Paul Jewell made me laugh once about Chimbonda, wearing gloves yet gets stung by a wasp.
