All these valuations are based on an article that said he could be worth that much if Levulinic Acid replaced oil as the primary ingredient in plastics and fuel.
You might have noticed no one is going to the luvulinic acid pump at Tesco.
It’s all hypothetical wealth based on what the product might be worth in the future.
The company recently raised $15m through venture capital. That gives an idea of how big they are currently.

Yeah, but seeing it on TV doesn't make it real unfortunately, and Forbes is an emag that's notorious for printing stupid numbers with no evidence. If you actually look up their "official" lists that they put in print, he's nowhere to be seen.
You can look it up yourself, they have a publicly disclosed revenue of $8m and no company worth $20Bn+ (Flamini is 50% owner) goes to the market to raise $15m of investment.
Flamini has also spoken publicly about how ridiculous the rumours are.
It's a nice story but it's completely made up.
