I remember in the early seventies O/B Mal and half the team turned up on a Friday night at the farmers arms on the A6 to do that pile of pennies thing and they didn't leave till it shut lol.One of the best things I ever saw was when Big Mal drove up to the bus stop opposite the Princess pub. He jumped out and went in the pub and came out a few minutes later followed by a shamefaced T.C. Must have been breaking a curfew but he didn't argue.
