FOR or AGAINST Rangers/Celtic joining the PL?

I'd be very much against having Scottish clubs join the English League system, but I do feel that there should be a British Club Cup competition which would include teams from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Perhaps the current Football League Cup / Scottish League Cup competitions could be adapted for this.

There was an attempt back in the day to have a British club competition (the Texaco Cup from 1970-71 to 1974-75, which initially included clubs from the Republic of Ireland too) but it died a death.
 
I suppose we need not worry as the only person asking/demanding/screaming hysterically for this is a certain Mr Charles Green.

Chuck was involved with Sheffield United (he is from near Sheff and was once on the Blades' book but never made the grade) when that club was owned by Mike Macdonald. For anyone who doesnt remember him Mike Macdonald used to stand in the Kippax, was a 'big blue' and tried to buy City once before he crossed the pennines to but SU.

Once the dream team of MM and CG were in place the whole club went into a spiral of decline that ended up with the manager leaving after CG started picking the team.

It didnt take too long before MMC and CG left.

Chuck now thinks that being in charge of Rangers means he can shout a lot and people will listen.

So far his shouting has meant that the original Rangers have folded.

His shouting has ended up with Rangers playing in the lowest division possible in Scotland.

His shouting has helped lead to death threats to solicitors, scottish football representatives, judges and journalists.

His shouting has failed to change the way the rest of Scottish footy is developing a plan for modernisation.

His shouting has led hi to claim he will petition the PM.

Why all the shouting considering that he is a Mexborough born, Sheffield United fan? Well he's also a venture capitalist.

Against. Why Rangers or Celtic though, why aren't Forfar or Cowdenbeath interested? If these two joined the EPL Jock footy would be on a par with San Marino and Luxembourg, so we might as well have the lot of them in, just to help them out, like.
I bet Alex Salmond isn't too keen on the idea, all they'd have left is caber tossing and sword dancing.
 
Absolutely not. The fact that Scottish football would be more competitive, more interesting and free of sectarianism without them suggests to me that they should definitely go somewhere. Perhaps the Northern Ireland league would be the most appropriate solution.
 
Let them form a Celtic league with Scotland Ireland and Wales leagues all joining together. Might grow the profile of the Irish and Welsh clubs and stop two nations just glory supporting.
