For those of us who have waited 44 years to win the league

You're all quite right! A quiet drink among blue friends tonight round at theirs, but no colour wearing or gloating YET!! I remember going on the piss when we thought we had avoided relegation. All we needed was a point against Luton at home - need I carry on?

Good shout OP?

Could I also request we don't go around singing "championes ole ole ole" when we do lift the trophy? I fuckin hate that chant!
Agree no pissed taking till, not been in touch with red since we were 8pts behind so not changing until fat lady sang
How about this to the tune of invisible man
We are were the champions

Totally agree. I didnt really say anything after the derby, ive not said anything to them either today - it still isnt over.

Same sometimes saying nothing hurts them more,One week then we can give them both barrels.

Having waited 44 years I, as I am sure the majority on this forum are, am aware of how our team have over the years been the best at producing the 'double barrel shotgun' and aiming squarely at our foot and shooting. Throughout this campaign I have begged to differ from colleagues at work when they have suggested we have 'had it in the bag' earlier in the season.
I do thing things are different this time round but will still air on the side of caution until 4.45pm next week.

I think if we don't win it, that will be the worst thing, not the banter blowing up in our face.

I agree, the way we as supporters and Mancini and the players have approached these last few games has been the right way. I haven't heard anybody boasting on these radio phone ins either. We have all got plenty of ammo to let fire with if we do win next week. We must also get behind the team from the 1st minute next week and we musn't start showing our nerves to the team if we are still level at half time. Make some noise! !

Time to batten down the hatches.Don't want to hear any players, management, staff, ballboys, tea ladies or fans this week.Say nowt and IF we win it then we can all let rip. Also pre match in City square,Danny please don't run around asking City fans what the score will be.i cringe every time we hear" 4-0,5-0 easy win etc" while the opposition are warming up listening to it on the big screens.
It's NOT over yet.

I was 8 when City last won the league and I remember it very well - I bought a souvenir T shirt, key ring and pennant.

I'm 52 now.

It's been a rollercoaster ride as a City fan but I've enjoyed nearly every minute of it.

The 83 relegation still shocks me.

Just walked (metaphorically) away from a rag on FB prattling on about scum the worst they've ever been and City the best they've ever been, blah de fucking blah.

Hopefully next week I'll get my say. Not before.

Please, please, please wait another seven days without taking the pi55 with rag mates or enemies.
History shows teams who thought they were home and dry (or 8 points clear) had already won the league, yet some came unstuck.
Give em stick at 4.45 next Sunday and not a minute before - just to be on the safe side.

Agree - when the final whistle blew today yes i cheered a little louder then normal but it was still just another game - be happy all week and next Sunday will be another gut wrenching 90 minutes
