Our current form is abysmal there is only one other team in the Premiership without a win in the last five matches and that is Wolves. There are also only three teams who have gathered less points in the same period Bolton, Birmingham & Wolves.

I know we have the players now to really make an impact but so far I see no signs of it happening. The good teams take control of games and control the midfield we on the other hand give the ball back to the opposition far too quickly this of cause gives added pressure to a defence that frankly stinks.

I know knee jerk reactions never help but how much longer will our owner be prepared to allow the current team management to preside over the shambles we have witnessed over the last four matches I am not including the Villa game as a point was not a bad result.

The current situation would have been a lot worse if Fulham had taken the two easy chances they squandered and if Birmingham had converted their penalty, and don't get me going on the Burnley match where we allowed a team who had previously only managed two goals in five away matches (both against Blackburn) to score three times - pathetic is the only word that springs to mind.

Just what do we practice in training it certainly isn't defending or team work.

Other than us being 6th, with a game in hand which, if we win it and things stay the same, we will be 2 points behind United and in the top 4? Other than that, you mean?

But United are having an awful season too. I really don't understand how you can be happy with no wins since September. Aren't we entitled to raise our expectations from the mundane to the excellent, with all that money spent?

just look at how far weve come in recent years, weve gone from a club who was going up and down, to a lower mid table club and now look at us. 5 draws are better the 5 losses. still unbeaten at home. glory doesnt happen over night, pace yourself, we will pick it up.

It certainly appears so on this forum. You could look at it as IF the Sheikhs had gone to Newcastle instead, or IF none of the players we have signed bothered to come in the first place, or IF we were still dog shit with piss poor players like Samaras. Too much negativity. The time, for me, to be glum and worried is mid January after the xmas fixtures. If we're still not winning and losing too, then yeah its time to start wondering what the beef is. As it stands though we're almost 3 months into the season, a quarter of the way into the fixtures, unbeaten apart from at the Champions of England and all in all things iare in a excellent position. We are NOT losing the games and the team is still gelling together, which is blatently obvious at the back especially. Time will tell, but to be in the position we are in at the minute, compared to the Scousers, for example, well i'm fucking happy as fuck.
