Tube problems around Fulham game
Thu 15 Sep 2011, 5:00PM
Posted by Chris Bailey

We have been informed of tube closures which may impact upon supporters travelling to Sunday’s game at Fulham.

District Line partial closure from Tower Hill to Dagenham East; District Line partial closure from Parsons Green to Wimbledon; Piccadilly Line services will not be stopping at Earls Court.

Due to those closures the following travel recommendations have been made.

Supporters travelling on the Piccadilly Line should alight at Hammersmith and walk to Craven Cottage using the sign posted route and those travelling on the District Line should travel to Parsons Green, and walk to Craven Cottage.

Cheers. shady. Alternatives here

So where are people having a pre match beer? Eight bells???

Doubt it will be full of Blues as Putney Bridge tube is shut and I don't know of another tube station close-by.

Hammersmith is better for boozers and is around 15 mins walk from Craven Cottage. Hammersmith is west of Craven Cottage while Putney Bridge is east. The walk from Hammersmith to the Cottage is very straightforward - walk down a main road (think it's Fulham Road) for around 10mins and then turn right after the cemetary. You are then at the ground.

Couple of Wetherspoon Pubs on the High Street in Hammersmith. £2.25 a pint of John Smiths when we played Fulham last Spring.
