Any clues to where barry might be off to?

pellers has said he can go if he wants but gaz has told him he wants to stay and fight for his place

He wont jeopardise any loyalty payments due by coming out and saying he wants to go etc.

Standard line from any player tbh.

True, but i've always had the impression that he wants to finish his career here and would take differently structured contract based on appearances etc

Pellegrini couldn't spell it out any clearer for Gaz Baz. He will not be making the bench for Premiership or CL games so unless he wants his top flight career to fizzle out with the occasional cup appearance then a move is in his best interests.

He will always get a great welcome in games against us.......totally deserved in my view.

If Barry stays he will be left out of our Champions League Squad if we sign a new centre back

No it isn't at all. Not in a one to one conversation.

He's being given the opportunity by the manager, to leave, with full loyalty bonus & everything else, if he wants to.

If he says he would rather go, they will sell him & he will get everything he is supposed to get. If he decides to stay, it will be because he prefers to stay, not because he's telling lies about it.

The thing is though, if Barry decides to stay and "fight for his place", he'll pretty much be kissing his WC ambition good bye.

I'm willing to bet the already very wealthy Barry would prefer a pay cut and inclusion in the WC sqaud for Brazil than to stay here, play next to nothing yet earn more money.
