Micah/Lescott/Garcia/Kolorov

Micah hasn't signed a new contract yet.
Lescott was meant to be offered a new one.
Garcia well it has been super quiet on him
Kolorov linked to Juventus and Inter.

Can't see Micah going, Lescott we would be mad to consider it at this time given problems at the back. Garcia doesn't seem to fit anywhere in our team but made subs bench which surprised me and came on instead of Milner.

That leaves Kolorov but that would mean we need a full back as well as centre back. Oh the thought of Coentrao now that would be a quality signing.

Coentrao would give us a great option for the entire left flank as he's a very useful winger as well, and not just a very good full back. Not equipped with the pace of Navas, but still pacey and is a good crosser of the ball, blessed with an admirable engine allowing him to tun back and forth in a Zabaleta manner.

So, Coentrao and Colloccini would be fantastic signings strengthening our back four considerably.

Rumours are that Coentrao is part of the Bale deal, would make sense as spuds need a LB. I'd go for Ashley Williams as a new CB. Wouldn't break the bank and would be great cover for Kompany, Lescott as back up for Nasty. Squad complete IMHO.

And we could still afford to jettison Kolorov, Sinclair, Garcia with no ill-effects......

Well this thread hasn't exactly come to life yet.

12 days to go I suppose.

I'd be surprised if we didn't sign a central defender but I expect that to be it with Siclair to leave... but that's not exactly ITK stuff!

Williams is being touted at 12m and he isn't up to the job.

He looked well out of his depth against the Rags.

If we wanted to replace Barry i think Mario Suarez would be a good fit. I prefer him to Kondogbia who's enthusiasm for tracking runners matches Yaya's.

Williams isnot good enough, was at fault for goal against rvp basic committed defending but was not prepared to put his head in where it hurt. That's just instinct and he backed out, his positioning is also not the best so for me not the answer forus.

We are signing him as a hit man to take out RVP with a football.

Not that we'd get them this transfer window, but for us to truly be a great team, imo, we still need work at LB and CM.

As I said before in midfield Yaya, Fernandinho and Milner are all we have to rely on in midfield (with Garcia not good enough and Rodwell injury prone). This might be a problem as the season goes on. Hope I'm wrong.

I agree with the above,we have a great team, much improved on last year, however,a couple of injuries in our weaker positions and we'll find it very difficult to compete on all fronts.

Our left side and centre half options could be stronger and a tad more quality depth in central midfield wouldn't go amiss.

Obviously,a few need shipping out to make room.
