Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone had ever had a Ford Mustang GT500? Or knows anyone who has one? I’m thinking about pushing the button and adding one to my cars but wondered if anyone had bought one or been in one?

A friend has one and it looks superb
Dark metallic grey with black alloys
He tells me it's like shit off a shovel, but I have to say the interior is awful and it's yesterday's technology
Another friend has a C63 and I know which one I prefer

The Royal blue colour, a neighbour has one but it's the 3.5

I had a Mustang for a while. Not this monster though...are you sure you want 750 odd horses? I'd go for the 5.0 V8 GT. Although the eco boost 2.3l is the best for economy it just doesn't feel right. Mustangs should be V8's.

Mine was great to drive, thirsty as fuck, interior has improved on later models, loads of gadgets and if you get the soft top you'll have 2 days a year of fun fun fun! Oh, don't get the Recaros...not heated or electric and uncomfortable.

You will get about 10-12 mpg (real world) and the rattling coming from the interior might put you off after a bit. Driven a few (I drive a lot of high end cars for work) and other than the noise wouldn't say it was a particularly exciting or engaging drive.

Why the Mustang out of curiosity?

Unless it’s a green 1968 Mustang Gt don’t bother. Plus cars like these shouldn’t really be sold anymore.

Just always fancied one mate? On the Isle of Man it won’t get flogged too much and not gonna lie it’s about being a bit of a ponce? Lol seems a few over here now but want the 5.0 supercharged one if possible.

Yeah defo want the 5.0 version mate! My drive every day to work is only 15 minutes there and same back and I’m there 6 days a week and the wife has the family car with all the car seats etc strapped in so we use that then.

If it's the car you want. It's going to be better than any other car out there anyway. So happy hunting. Look forward to the pics.

Cheers mate, current car is a 2016 Range Rover sport and fuel consumption seems about the same according to google? I get around two and a half weeks out of a tank

We regularly had 4 adults in it...cramped but doable if you have small mates so kids shouldn't be a problem...plus the boot is a nice size.
