Just watched Infernal Affiars and its a great film. The Departed is based (Pretty much the same film) on this.

Seens some really great foreign films of late. Jackie Chan has some absolute crackers (Police Story is mint and Operation Condor is funny as Fuck), A Prophet and Nine Queens (Recommend by someone on here).

They really are a breath of fresh air compared to some of the shit Holloywood currently bangs out.

Anyone recommend anymore. Going to get Jackie Chans Drunken Master next I think.

Just watched el norte as im learning spanish. Its a brilliant film, great insight into the struggle people make trying to get to america, even if the film is a bit old.

City of God. Great film, seriously recommend. All it sub titles im afraid but if you watch tell me what you think.

(Filmed in Brazil).

If you liked city of god you should watch TROPA DE ELITE. same stuff but from another angle it's awesome

"Nine queens" and "the secret in their eyes" are both really good Argie films with the same actor. The latter got an award at the oscars me thinks
