Forgotten words from Yesteryear

Imagine saying to two lads on their phones now who are saying they are bored.

“Go and get a football and throw it at the kerbs opposite each other”

They would think you were nuts!

Especially after watching Pickford. They'd say, "Why not launch it as high as possible over the rooftops, so it lands on some poor fucker's greenhouse three streets away ?!"
 
Slap and tickle - Always thought it should have been the other way around. It was for me!

Dolly mixtures - If my Dad use to give us a few pennies for sweets, he’d say, “Go get yerself a ton of dolly mixtures!”

Gollywog - last reference I ever heard was on “Extras,” although I think a pub recently had a run in with them(???)

Verruca - “Don’t walk around in yer bare feet in the showers, you’ll get a verruca!”
