Forgotten words from Yesteryear

Me

Everybody in the press and media and people trying to sound above their station (and failing laughably) use the word “myself” in all the wrong places these days.

On R5 the other day: “So join Chris and myself as we review the day’s events ……”

How could you NOT use “me” there? How could you, as a trained journalist, possibly think that “myself” is the correct word?
Chris and I.

Chris and I.
No. It’s “Chris and me”

You wouldn’t say “Join I as we ….” you’d say “Join me as we ….”

If the sentence was “Chris and I went to the shops ….” Then obviously the I would be correct.

How’s a sweaty going to know ?
