I don't have an Arsenal attacker either. The Martinelli shout isn't bad, ditto Gordon for Mitoma who, frankly, has been very poor since I brought him in. They would also free up 0.7m towards this AM nonsense. They would cost me a -4 though. I don't want to use my second WC yet, or the FH. My two keepers getting injured in the same week didn't help me at all re transfers. I had to use up a free transfer to replace Flekken with Sa.

I got Martinelli and he helped toward my 85 for the week. The only bad point was that I had Pedro as 2nd sub and left 9pts on the bench.

New wild card is available and I like to use them early. I don't expect much transfer window activity but with injuries , fa Cup and CL games it's no time for big moves.

Mixed week for me...92pts which I should be buzzing about. But that was with Palmer as captain rather than Salah and with Ait-Nouri's 10pts on the bench.

Ait-Nouri for Gabriel would have been +8pts
Palmer for Salah captaincy would have been +14pts

Keep getting the captaincy wrong - should just leave it with Salah for now but thought he might be rotated so took a gamble.

Nothing wrong with that, you played the odds and sometimes it backfires. Numerous data points where Ait-Nouri does nothing as already seen here in prior pages. Kudos for still having him and having the stomach for it.

Palmer for Salah captaincy would have been +14pts

I did the same thing last time they were close in projected points in GW16, and that didn't work out then. Won't be getting cute (fooled) again...

Not having Salah as captain should be punishable by jailtime! I switched the captaincy over to Palmer a fortnight ago (Palmer away at Ipswich, Salah away at West Ham)....





I won't do that again!

Both Milenkovic and Van Dijk (both defenders) each got as many points as Mitoma, Palmer, Odegaard and Jackson combined.

I've had to bring in Van Den Berg off the bench. My other sub is Stephens, who's down as having a knock (expected back in two weeks). Couldn't use Iwobi, as you have to have 3 defenders in your XI.

I won't do that again!

I've done the same thing a few times. Got my captaincy wrong about 8 times over the past 10 weeks by switching it up. Had Saka a couple of times in that run and he didn't deliver. Ipswich away I saw as a good chance of points for Palmer and I wondered if Salah would get some rest away at West Ham. The rotation for him will come but probably when I have captained him. Sticking it on him for the foreseeable. It's probably the cups he'll get a rest in.

Salah always plays, never gets rotated unless it's a cup game, even when they are winning easily he stays on for 80 plus minutes in PL game's.
