FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

Got to use my BB this weekend. And I've got two free transfers to use. Got to decide whether to use one of them to shift Timber out. They've got the ultimate dead rubber game, at Southampton. Will they bother playing him? Also, maybe bring in Kepa for Fabianski.

I had Gibbs-White firmly in my starting 11, and Isak well sat on my bench with his 0.

Marmoush left for Watkins as the FA rotation was not something I wanted to be sweating, and I had had enough after that GW33 TC blank. Figures, but I didn't care after seeing that amazingly dropping cracking goal for City. That was more important yesterday for the W. Bummed for Kev and for me in backing him, but sometimes unlucky things happen.

Eze off the bench was a big bonus too, and I enjoyed having fuzzy hair for my FH34, but just didn't trust the Chelsea D.

I will Embrace GW38 with hopefully a decent shot at staying under 75K. A 2nd place finish for the @Boo or Boo-urns league would be nice, but I've got my eye on a Cup too.

My son has BB'd me in our family Cup, so I have a feeling my (C)aptain choice will be key.

3 transfers and 1.4m to use before the end. Thinking of Watkins in for issak, replacing Timber with BWhite to keep the arse defence.
Could go for another Newcastle player but who?

Yeah; I've got a couple of FTs to use, as well as my BB. Toying with the idea of shipping out Salah, but you just know he'll get a hat trick. Timber is definitely out, so I need a replacement for him (Konsa?). Isak down as a 75% chance of playing. You'd think Newcastle might risk him, considering the "prize" on offer. Watkins would be an alternative, and Villa have the same incentive as the Geordies. Also considering bringing in Kepa (home to Leicester) to replace Fabianski.

That dipper should get kicked out of the league, then you'd be 2nd and I'd be 3rd.

Is Jimharri your son? He's still got his BB, kick Jim out of the family home ;)

Have now picked my team, and activated the BB. Took a -8 to bring in Kepa (home to Leicester) for Fabianski, Konsa for Timber, MGW for Eze and Marmoush for Cunha. Was tempted to bring in Watkins, but I've gambled that Newcastle will play Isak in their game against Everton (groin injury, 75% chance of him playing), with it being the final game of the season.....

Good luck Jim, all those players you've brought in still have plenty to play for so there shouldn't be any surprise benchings.

Saliba injured for me, so I'll just play Konsa the same as you. I also have Isak, so will wait as long as possible for any news (I only have 1 transfer) pretty sure I'll be using the transfer on a Bournemouth player, either Evanilson if Isak is out or Semenyo/Kluivert otherwise.

Think I'll probably take a left field punt on a captain with it being the last week.

Cheers SI. Kepa doesn't have much to play for (we saw to that the other night!). But that was generally my thinking when I decided to bring in Konsa, MGW and Omar. Kepa has a decent chance of a clean sheet, though. Pretty sure I'll stick with Salah as my captain, even though he's been on the beach for weeks. If not him, Isak or Marmoush. A "WTF" option would be someone like Konsa; just not sure I'm brave enough to go for him.

I think I'll probably captain whoever I transfer in, should make the final transfer choice fun.

Think out of your team I'd captain Evanilson but going against Salah at home is risky so ignore me.

You could always captain Sessegnon if you want to try and jinx him and take one for the team.

Passed 2000 pts which was amazing in years gone by.....the winners have a sick collection of points. You need to be flawless week in week out, so it's next to impossible.

Best chances are winning best scores in the week of fixtures or your own league.

Still great entertainment.
 
Evanilson isn't a bad shout, to be honest. Home against Leicester, who are (let's be honest) shite. I just get the feeling that Salah will want to finish the season on a high, particularly with it being party time there on Sunday. Including Kev is a case of heart ruling head. Someone like Bowen or Schade might have been a more sensible choice. But it's his goodbye. Nice if he signed off with a goal.

Just over 2.2k for me. The top guy has 2,752 pts. 500 ahead of me.

Barring an implausible 80-odd point haul in the final week to eclipse my score of 2 years ago I'll have my second highest points haul ever in the game. Surprised when I checked that as it doesn't feel like I've ever been in contention in any of my mini leagues this season.
