With the European championships taking place next June I had been sounding out a few of my mates with a view to 5 or 6 of us hiring a camper van and heading over, so started to look at the venues, games will be played at 10 venues, Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseilles, Nice, paris, St Denis, st etienne and Toulouse, however no side will play more than one group game in one region.
So you could have your team playing one game close to the English Channel, the next near the Atlantic and the last close to the Med?
Seems they don't want visiting fans.

The problem with France is it will be littered with French c**ts.
And ever so friendly English fans and their great ability to blend in with
the natives ☺

Get that camper van sorted mate and pick me up on way through
Long way to go yet, but starting to dream
A couple of days round the Somme and then following the GAWA would be some trip

I was just teasing mate - yea would be trip of lifetime

There's a nice run of Lyon, St Etienne, Marseille and Nice that are fairly close if you don't mind watching different teams. There's also a few other regions with a few which could be alright.

Im thinking of going over to Lens/Lille and watching any game I can get a ticket for.
Does anyone know when the tickets go on sale ?

I think to rent a 6 man rv it's around 80 quid per day, fuel on top of that. Could well be my summer holiday next year. I can't even imagine how many english fans will be going over.

A group of us went over for France 98 and used a multi-trip train ticket, the majority of the guards just used a pencil to fill in their section which gave us great pleasure rubbing it out and re-using the same ticket for a number of journeys.

Great tour and met some cracking people

June, it looks like the usual choice of following one team or selecting specific venues and taking pot luck which teams are involved.

Planning on doing two and a half weeks. Couldnt think of a better summer holiday than driving around France getting pissed up with thousands of other football fans.

Glad you have posted this. I will be going with 4 others for 1-2 weeks. Will be camping down there and not bothered about getting tickets although would be a Jonas. Not too much info on boat prices and camping during that time yet.

Thinking maybe hire a mini bus or have two cars. Still trying to rally the troops. I can imagine it now camping with beers, BBQs and football. Absolutely perfect.

Price dependent I'm hoping to combine it with a family camping holiday and maybe bob into (probably) Lille for a game. I'm not really arsed who I see, just be nice to go to a tournament before UEFA fuck up the whole thing and spread it around a handful of cities time and time again.
