I can't see anything in the same league as these.

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina, (Liverpool), Victor Valdes (Barcelona)

Defenders: Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Juanfran (Atletico Madrid), Jordi Alba (Valencia), Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao)

Midfielders: Xavi (Barcelona), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), David Silva (Manchester City), Santi Cazorla (Malaga), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Juan Mata (Chelsea)

Forwards: Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Pedro (Barcelona), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla)
an immense squad, its insane how players like silva, valdes, mata, navas and llorente won't be guaranteed a start!

I think a Spain B squad would better most other countries first team, including England!

Thiago is going to be better than Fabregas.

I think a few sunday league teams would better england

Did you watch England's friendly against Norway? It was an absolutely pathetic showing. First 30 minutes or so looked promising. Some good link up play and attacking moves but once Gerrard starting making some misplaced passes and then was subbed off at HT, they just couldn't KEEP the ball. Midfield was overrun. I would accredit it to the fact that it was a boring pre tournament routine friendly but England play like that within tournaments too so it's worrying. It was a pathetic performance and i'm surprised they got away unscathed. I was listening to talkshite earlier and this guy was just ranting and raving ''how can we critisize England after we WON?". Mr Genius, it is because some of us are smart enough to figure out that if we perform anything like that in the Euro's against France.. or others.. we will be humiliated. Humiliated. I don't know what it is. England just play with such shackles. It is as if they're boots are made of brick. Maybe it's just the overrall lack of talent, technicality or quality in most English players that while they can thrive in their respective teams being able to hide behind the creative spark in the other foriegn players around them.. but when you stick all the stand out English players together.. They just don't stand out, at least not on a consistent basis.

I would have thought you would enjoy watching loads of Liverpool players 'perform'.

I do have France as my outsiders. Initally I had Germany for the title but the disappointment Bayern had suffered on all front this season may affect them.

Probably still going to stick with Spain personally although Portugal, along with France could be outsiders.

Spain's starting XI will still be frightening:

.........................Casillas.......................
...............Albiol................Pique.............
Ramos............................................Alba
.................Busqets...Alonso...................
.......................Fabregas......................
.............Silva....................Iniesta.........
........................Llorente......................
No Xavi?

He can play in this team

.........................Valdes.........................
Arbeloa......Martinez....Iraola..........Monreal
.........Herrera.......Xavi..................Muniain
Navas...................Villa....................Mata

Or then again, Reina, De Gea, Juanfran, Dominguez, Bruno, Benat, Javi Garcia, Cazorla, Isco, Adrian, Soldado,Negredo, Torres, Pedro, Thiago or De Marcos.

Either way, there are 3 Spanish teams that could knock fuck out of everyone else.

Isn't Villa injured?

-- 28 May 2012, 21:37 --

Allez les Bleues!!!!!

It's les Bleus

Lloris

Debuchy - Rami - Sakho - Clichy

M'Vila - Cabaye

Ben Arfa - Nasri - Ribery

Benzema

Another possible line up.

My dark horse for sure, but I'm still backing Germany.
