What could have been.

Morocco have got the best team ethic and plenty of players from decent leagues. They did have a number of late chances against Portugal but could also have conceded. They do get numbers back defending and their keeper's looked useful.

France I don't think have had to go out of second gear so far. England didn't use their possession to heart them much, but signs are there that France aren't the monolith that loads thought. Their defence against us looked shit scared of both Saka and Kane, Lloris always has a mistake in him.

But they are good further forward. Mbappe only got away from Kyle once and fashioned an excellent chance
We literally had no answer to Grieszman who gave a masterclass in deep playmaking. Giroud is still banging them in. Dembele and Tchouameni I haven't been impressed by, Rabiot made a decent run a man d shot that the England midfield stopped and admired.

It's mad the players who've dropped out through injury but I still think they're beatable. Morocco with their finest Davey Crockett at the Alamo impression to win in 120 minutes with one shot on goal!

I think Morocco have a puncher's chance. Score first and sit back, and maybe they've got this. France aren't quite as imperious as previously because of the injuries.

I expect France to win.

Too many people compliment teams that park the bus. It has the potential to kill the game off as a spectacle. Hopefully it's a game too far for Morocco

Only Italy and Brazil have won it back-to-back, and only Brazil have done so without hosting the event, so France face a stiff challenge to match that feat. Think they should have enough to defeat Morocco, much like Argentina last night, but the first goal will be crucial. A Morocco victory would at least break the run of European successes (4) which is already a record.
