Legend, RIP to one of my dad's favourite players
Not many City players have scored a hat trick against "The World's Greatest Club"™ at "The Theatre of Dreams"™.
Rip I always remember him as a city legend I loved him on tv just talking he always stood up for city glad he lived to see city rule the world ,hope he is at peace his suffering is over now ,thar cancer I fuk ing hare it and in fairness to man utd fans from what I've seen the majority could see he was a fine player and are sad to see him go, sometimes and I'm worse than anyone we forget theirs more to life than football ! Ps next city game I'll forget that but what I mean is life is short cherish it and remember life is good!Legend and one of the players my first match at City. RIP Franny
That was down to Peter fucking Swales. He scored in my first live match and for the next 5 years I expected him to score whenever he got any half chance around the box. He was great to have in your side - I'm sure he was a total annoyance for the opposition - not just for the goals he scored but his aggression and ability to wind people up. He has a thunderbolt of a shot but there was far more to his game than that as he had great skill and made plenty of chances for others. And of course he took penalties as they should be taken - no faffing about just hit it hard as you can and give the keeper very little chance of getting close. I'm sure he must have missed a couple - but I don't remember any. As other have said - he left us a season or two too soon - but that was the chance for him to show he still had it and to win another Championship.
Thanks for the memories Franny.
