Was just wondering if anyone had heard of this guy? I've seen him about 5 times now and he is truly excellent. Seriously check him out!

Bit different mate, I can best describe it as folk-punk lol. But then he does some stuff that is pretty much Dylan. It's all about disillusionment and living your life in your 20's. If you fancy a listen, I'd suggest Nights become days, photosynthesis, I still believe, I knew prufrock before he got famous and Reasons not to be an idiot, best songs IMO

, but him as a solo act is pretty wafty, his early stuff wasn't too bad but now it just sounds like manufactured pop folk. He used to be cool.

Agreed that his third album wasn't the best but his new one is back to form, much more like the early stuff. If you like Million Dead give One foot before the other a listen from his new album, he's gone back to his roots to some extent

I can't, i've completely given up on him, after following Million Dead relentlessly for around 4 years and not producing a bad song at all, then for him to go to producing bad folk music (agreed his first 2 albums were ok, i even went to see him at the retro bar on his first manchester solo gig) made me lose faith in what was once an excellent song writer.

Mate that is impressive haha, I've heard a couple of the live ones but not actually got them. And my copy of the first three years has gone missing at the girlfriend's!
