There's been a few people who've said that we're in for Fred. Would be great to get him boxed off for the summer. We desperately need a top replacement for Fernandinho.
This would be fantastic if we could get him now. Prefer this to the Sanchez signing as I think its a more important hole to fill. Dinho is already on 30-odd games
yes we have plenty of games to use him in. Would be great but I really cant see it happening until the summer.Maybe it is possible, he's cup tied for the CL so we could rest Fernandinho for some league games. Evans is HG so he creates no issue - especially if Mangala leaves.
This 'post-Neymar market' doesn't have to be a thing as long as clubs aren't stupid. Agents, players and selling clubs are spotting an opportunity to make a killing but there is still only so much money in the game and whilst PSG can go and drop 250m on one player, the majority of other clubs cannot, even with adjustments made for the fact those players aren't Neymar.
It is a thing and will continue to be a thing because transfer fees aren't plucked out of thin air, they're benchmarked against other completed deals. When Neymar moves for more than double the prior record that inflation cascades down to the rest of the market, as illustrated by Countinho, Dembele, and VVD. You're either competing for the best, most in demand, players or you aren't, and the next Countinho, Dembele, or VVD aren't going to go for less than the last unless a fundamental shift occurs. The market is the market.
Pool were wise enough to act swiftly and sign Naby Keita last summer on the same terms. Now they've got one of the world's best young mids. Was it a good deal? I think it was a masterstroke. The pool of top players is too small, not the best time for penny-pinching.I get the feeling the club fear his fee continuing to rise the more various clubs become interested in him.
The one thing I wouldn’t do though is buy him and loan him. What if he has a serious injury?
They don't have to replace him until the summer, so they benefit, and in exchange we get to sew up the transfer with minimal stress/competition.Whats the point in loaning him back?
