I think the Telegraph also reported the president came over for talks early Dec......so hopefully things moving fast on this one. Seems a perfect replacement for Fern.

Good, we desperately need reinforcements in that position.
Agree, I know it was only one game but Fernandinho looked tired against Liverpool. He's so important to the way we play we'd be in trouble if he does suffer with fatigue or picks up an injury. Would be great to strengthen this area for the second half of the season.

really couldnt see the logic in buying him and then loaning him back until the summer?? dinho needs help in there and a new face boosts the fans and the club for that final push for glory. plus we need dinho fit for the champions league games so fred will be a most welcome addition

I'd be happy if we sign Fred, now or in summer. I just hope we tie the deal up now so we do not end up loosing him to a higher bid ...
