Free Agents 2020

Mario Gotze has had a dramatic decline hasn’t he? One of the most exciting young playmakers in Europe, winning goal in a World Cup Final, now not wanted by his club at 28. Still remember him starring for Dortmund at our place, at times it was like a personal duel between him and Joe Hart. Sad that both have declined so much since

I've always rated Giroud, probably not a top class striker but he knows where the net is.

As for Cavani, I remember seeing City v Napoli in the CL a few years ago and he was absolutely superb. A great player. He's probably past his best but he can still play football. I've always said I think we could do with a guy who doesn't do much except finish and this guy can do that. I'd take him on a 1 year deal to see off the teams who love having a 6-4-0 formation!

Think Cavani is likely to go to Benfica, though Leeds and even Bayern Munich have been linked with him.

Some notable players who's contracts are up:-
  • Edinson Cavani (PSG)
  • Olivier Giroud (Chelsea)
  • Willian (Chelsea)
  • Layvin Kurzawa and Thomas Meunier (PSG)
  • Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham)
  • Adam Lallana (Liverpool)
  • Pablo Zabaleta (West Ham)
  • Dries Mertens (Napoli)
  • Mario Gotze (Dortmund)
  • Jordan Ibe (Lol)
Would you have any of these or any others?
Actually, Kurzawa has signed a new deal with PSG (crap, it means we are lacking money) and Meunier is already a Dortmund player.

Cavani and Thiago Silva are free agents though.

Would he have done a job for City ? Left back is our problem area but seems like you where not that bothered about him leaving otherwise he would have signed earlier

Would be interested in what people make of the strikers given that whilst Aguero is at the club we probably wont be going big on a striker tho ITK say otherwise but could do with second or third choice option especially against teams who park the bus Giroud would seem to fit the bill in terms of size Cavani too I guess
